I think there’s a bit of the Belgium in him that came through in those quotes they can be brutally honest when speaking to the press.
Reality is great players have said stupid things in the press and stayed and been welcomed back with open arms, Fellaini isn’t welcomed back because he isn’t a great player but when he steps on the pitch the fans should get behind him. Will be interesting to see what happens in his first appearance at old Trafford next season.
I’ve got no problem with his comments it’s a negotiation he was obviously trying to squeeze Utd a bit reports are Utd didn’t budge the deal he’s signed is the one they offered him 6 months ago.
Milan seemed to strongest link but they might have pulled out due to the FFP ban they’ve just had imposed, my guess is the offer from Arsenal would’ve been lower than the offer from Utd so it’s no surprising he stayed especially when you’ve got a manager you know believes in you.
