Introduction

Stretford End Arising prides itself on offering Manchester United fans a place to discuss and debate football and other issues that matter to them. It is a moderated forum allowing readers to share their own personal views and read what other fans have to say. The website represents the Manchester United Community and we aim to promote an ethos of friendly, respectful and inclusive discussion.

The providers of this service are not responsible for any user-generated content and accounts. Any content submitted is the expressed views of the author only. We ask that all members follow our terms and rules to ensure the forum remains user-friendly.

Contributions

Content posted must NOT:

a) Be threatening, abusive or invade another's privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety

b) Constitute harassment or bullying causing upset, alarm or embarrassment to another person

c) Be likely to deceive any person

d) Contain any material which is defamatory of any person

e) Contain any material which is obscene, offensive, or inflammatory

f) Contain any material that is gruesome

g) Promote discrimination based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status or sexual orientation/gender identity)

h) Promote hatred towards individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status or sexual orientation/gender identity. (Including content that incites hatred)

i) Promote violence or advocate harm against individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status or sexual orientation/gender identity)

j) Promote sexually explicit material; including any form of pornography, soft or hardcore, any kind of nudity, partial or full (relates to images or videos)

k) Advocate or promote drugs or drug paraphernalia

l) Advocate, promote or assist anything unlawful such as copyright infringement, computer misuse or posting links to illegal content

m) Infringe any intellectual property right including but not limited to any copyright, database right, trade mark, patent, or design right (whether registered or not) of any other person

n) Promote schemes that promise incentive to users who click ads, view webpages or similar activities (ie artificially inflating ad performance)

o) Contain related or unrelated advertisements, links to malicious websites, and abusive or otherwise unwanted information

p) Breach any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence

q) Impersonate any person, or to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person

r) Give the impression that it emanates from us, if this is not the case

s) Break any applicable law in the UK and in any country from which they are posted

t) Poor, profane or obscene language of any type is not welcome - even in jest

u) Be religious, racial or political. There are other forums on the internet suited for this type of discussion, and we ask that you conduct such discussions on those forums

v) Contain private or confidential information about yourself or others

Moderators

All Content you submit or upload may be reviewed by moderators. The moderation team is here to keep the forums safe and secure. The forum rules are here to help us do that, and ensure that the forums are of the highest quality. Read them. Know them. Please do not ignore or find a way around them.

Our moderators utilise a warning system, detailed below:

Warning System

6 Points = Suspended for 2 Days

9 points = Suspended For 7 Days

15 points = Suspended For 14 Days

20 points = Permanently Banned

The most common warnings are:

Inappropriate Language: 2 points

General Behaviour Warning: 3 points

Off Topic: 2 points

Minor Spamming: 1 point

Posting Abusive/Offensive Material: 3 points

Spammed Advertisements: 3 points

"Report Post" Function

This forum has a "Report Post" (located within posts). The purpose of this function is to aid moderators in their duty to identify posts that contravene the terms and rules.

It is not easy (nor plausible) for a small team of moderators to read every post on the forum, so we ask that members assist by bringing to our attention any post they consider to be a violation of the forum's terms and rules we ask that you use the "Report Post" function to bring it to our attention.

Other Rules of Membership

The providers ("we", "us", "our") of the service provided by this web site ("Service") are not responsible for any user-generated content and accounts. Content submitted express the views of their author only.

All football fans are welcome on the forum, including opposition fans. We ask that you do not join with the intent of ‘winding up’ our community, and engage in mature and sensible debates.
