Champions League 2020/21: Manchester United v RB Leipzig

Feels like they’ve worked out our system pressing us relentlessly and we can’t get out.

Issue seems to be not enough players who back themselves under pressure our build up is slow and they pounce on us.

They’re pushing right up on us and we’ve got no out ball to beat the press could be time for Cavani.

Think the tactics caught them by surprise at the start but it’s stopped working since the goal.

Yeah VDB could be summarised as tidy so far. It's obvious he hasn't had much game time as he and the group of players out there tonight don't seem to be jiving 100%. Would like to see Bruno on for Pogba early in second half to give us more energy, feels like we're sitting off them too much towards end of first half. Would like to see Cavani on for Martial also, think we'll need a focal point up front to finish out the match.

Think Pogba started well but faded a little seems like they’ve worked out he’s the danger man and are making it hard for us to get the ball to him. Every time he gets the ball seems to have 2 or 3 on him.

Agree Cavani could give us a more direct route out when under pressure.
 
Yeah looks to be on a last warning and they’re being clever.

Always second to the ball at the moment just can’t get hold of the ball at all.

The strikers need to make themselves available either come short or spin in behind at the moment they’re being easily marked out of the game they need to find away to get involved.

The subs have been brilliant just giving us that extra edge up top that was missing fresh legs against a team committing forward meant gaps were there to exploit.
 
I thought the question would be does Bruno let Rashford take it. The Rashford hands it to Martial.

They’ve fallen to bits since that second goal heads absolutely gone totally lost their shape and discipline.
 
Ole got his subs bang on again weathered to storm when they went all out attack he freshened up the attack with speed and quality that ripped them to shreds.

Rashford is flying right now in this form he can be unstoppable.
 
What a performance, and a statement of intent. Rashford remembering he's an assassin. Thought VDB did really well too, but no one actually underperformed. Everyone had a good game.
 
Everyone excellent tonight, I'd like to like to see McTominey in for Matic, Bruno for Pogba, Rashford for Greenwood on Sunday.
