It's my opinion, and I'm entitled to it.
I was right about Onana, and I'm pretty sure I will be proven right with this guy, a one season wonder.
Yep definitely but I think it’s quite clear what he has achieved for Brentford over a few years doesn’t put him in bang average category. But yep it’s totally your opinion.

I’ve seen Cunha and Mbeumo mentioned being average because they’ve come from Brentford and Wolves on here which is just baffling. There are countless examples of players moving onto bigger clubs and being even better.

Everyone is entitled to opinions but they can’t half be baffling sometimes.

I'm not saying it based on the games they have played for United, I'm saying it because they are/were good players in mid table (or less) teams, coming to United is a massive step up, I think they are average for United, they are not an RVN or an RVP, neither of them are a Cantona, Beckham or Giggs, the quality just isn't there.

Bud he didn’t play the first half? He added a bit of life to United and took his goal well. Not a great performance but I thought he was fine.
The shot was heading straight for Pyms hands but it took a massive deflection off a Grimsby player.

I’m not sure it was? I thought from the replays he clipped it really nicely aiming for that far post.
Nah, when you watch it from behind Mbuemo it's heading straight towards a bunch of defenders, whether he slices it a little or not is debateable, but takes a deflection off one defenders hip and wrong foots Pym, six inches and it goes wide

I reckon he played it off the defender on purpose. He’s that damn good.

He hasn’t blown us away so far but he’s a threat and he’s off the mark.

Hopefully the penalty miss doesn’t knock his confidence.

:D
No he isn't

A massive upgrade on Garnacho and Rashford for sure. His game is in good order and you don’t see the same naivety. Promising signs so far.

Mbeumo was United’s standout performer. In addition to scoring, he created plenty of chances. He’s a clear upgrade on the likes of Garnacho. Not bad for being bang average, eh, @Matt Varnish.
My Mum could have scored that goal and she's been dead ten years.
I'll gladly be proven wrong, but he's had one good game in three, that's not what you pay £65m for

He played well against Arsenal, played well today and has two goals to his name. His only iffy game was against Fulham.

I hope we're practicing that in training. Sesko should be gold on the end of those type of deliveries.

I've also been reading that Onana wants a new contract! He really has no clue what is going on.

Wanted a pay rise because he didn't realise his salary was cut when Utd aren't in the CL.

Was the same last summer.

I'd offer him a slap.

I'd offer him a slap.

Might even be a bigger cut this season with no european football at all.

I still reckon there's a chance he moves on before other windows close as the club apparently weren't impressed with the condition he turned up to in pre season which then resulted in an injury.

Anyway these games will probably be good for Mbeumo to get some more minutes in the legs as he missed quite a bit of pre season waiting for his move to go through.

He needs to get gone, I can't stand his stupid face anymore. After all of his errors, he wants to be paid more, and after what you said, too.

What a ridiculous person.

And, yeah, the games should be good for Mbeumo. I think he is slightly overweight right now, but not by much.

Just got back to this
You have a choice, who would your prefer
Mbuemo aged 26 (current age)
Ryan Giggs aged 26

Mbuemo aged 26
David Beckham aged 26

The same questions refer to Cunha as well

Why does there have to be a comparison between two of our best and well known players to Mbeumo? Seems a bit of a strange question.

The fact I would choose Giggs and Beckham doesn’t diminish the ability of Mbeumo in any way shape or form.

To me it does, he's not half the player they were, and doesn't reach the standards a lot of older fans expect

How many players in world football can be held up against Beckham or Giggs?

Those two massively raised the bar on what came before them as well.

Mbeumo is not a world class footballer and he probably never will be but he is a much better player than Antony and Amad which is what we started last season with.

Same on the left with Cunha he isn't world class either but he's better than Rashford and Garnacho who were the options last season.

Mbeumo/Cunha's job over the next 2-3 seasons is to get the club back challenging at the sort of level where the world class players want to come here ahead of clubs like Liverpool, City or Arsenal.

A decade ago players were desperate to come here and Utd would get first pick of the players but the shoe is on the other foot now we won't be first choice so we have to do our best by buying well from the tier below.

People living in cloud cuckoo land again.

Not a great first half but thought he did pretty well second half.

His volley would have gone in against most keepers but such a good save from Donnarumma.

Think he’s been one of the bright lights so far this season but the rest of his teammates have been on dim.

Bryan has been the most impressive of our summer signings so far. The technique in that volley today that Donnarumma tipped around the post was unbelievable. He’s going to have a great season

Was poor today, bad decisions, bad first touch, bad passing.

Had one decent shot that donnarumma made a meal of that makes it look better than it was.

I like him, thinks he's generally done well, but a bad day today

Doesn’t say much for us when he was the main threat and focal point of our attack.

Your assessment seems extremely harsh. I can’t agree, that volley had goal written all over it, and it was a good stop by Gigi.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim on Bryan Mbeumo: "It’s really important everything he brings. He is always there to help us, he runs a lot, he presses a lot. He is a different threat to last season. He takes set pieces. So I am really happy with him.

"That is also the good thing, to have time to get to know the player. It was important to bring players from our league so you can understand what they bring. But in the end, you never know, so we were lucky with Bryan.

"You can see that every player you want to buy in the Premier League is expensive so if you look to our moments last year, you want to take the less risky move and it’s really important to have quality players."
