Premier League 2021/22: Chelsea Vs Man Utd ~ Sun 28th 4.30pm KO

Let’s hope we can settle down as lucky to be level Hudson-Odoi should have squared that for a tap in.

Carrick made some big decisions with the changes but I can see why he’s done it we can’t be playing Ronaldo 3 games in a week he will need regular rests.

Surprised with the 3 in midfield that he hasn’t used Donny but maybe the extra height of McTominay on set pieces was a factor as on form McTominay shouldn’t be playing anywhere near as much as he is.

We see just playing in to their hands at the moment basically playing with all 10 of their outfield players in our half

Yep every ball forward comes straight back as it’s either not accurate enough or the Chelsea defender wins the duel.

Just not good enough to play through them and anything long they will win this is largely how their system works and it’s why teams find it so hard to play against them.

To many Utd players who aren’t top quality on the ball look at Chelsea every one of their players is comfortable on the ball under pressure and happy to pass their way out of trouble. AWB, Fred and McTominay just aren’t and I’d add Rashford who still hasn’t got the sloppy touches out of his game.

I would say this is going exactly how Carrick wanted it go. Obviously he would expect a little more up front but plenty of time to get that in the second half - plus the potential to add Ronaldo on who always can be the match winner.

Yeah it’s same as midweek play for 0-0 stay in the game and either a moment of quality or a mistake from them to get our goal.

Hopefully the subs fresher it up at some point second half but the way that balls flying into our box I can see Lukaku causing us problems when he comes on my guess is he will look to come on to bully Lindelof.

Punish the mistakes.

Jorginho took a massive gamble there and fair play to Sancho and Rashford they were straight on him.

Just don’t think he saw him just trying to clear the ball.

Just no escape was that 4 corners in a row every single one a quality ball in.

Lingard on for Rashford

Going to be tough to counter now.

Hopefully Lingard’s energy might help us win a few second balls.

We really are hanging on Chelsea have so many attacking players on now and here comes Lukaku

Got to give credit to Carrick. These last two performances have shown he has a decent tactical mind.

1-1. Disappointing to lose it in the end but a huge improvement this week from the Watford debacle.

Thought the players really put a shift in today. As we have said before that should be a minimum requirement but it has not been happening in recent weeks.

Anyho, that aside, creditable result for a shit squad low on confidence Managed by one of Ole's shit backroom staff away to the current European champions. Over to the moaners.

Well Carrick has proved he’s got something a little about him. If Ole was in charge there is no way Ronaldo wasn’t starting today. It wasn’t a pretty performance but yep a creditable result and we need to get back to basics and get some confidence. The results will then start to come back.

I'll take the point. Even under Tuchel Chelsea are a funny team. Must have been maddening being a Chelsea fan today with 15 corners and nearly 100% possession (whatever it was) in the first half. Our players fluctuated from awful to excellent. Fred had one of his better performances but that chip, ho ho ho. McTominay had a bunch of good tackles and interceptions and then faded. Telles and Bailly both stand out for me today as players that exceeded expectations. Lindelof started awful, not switched on, then had a great game. I think Ralf will be able to whip them into a real team.

I'm made up with the point, i'd have settled for it before the game even though we really needed three.

On Ronaldo we'll never know, was it a Carrick or Rangnick decision.

Don't think it was ever gonna be pretty, if we'd stood toe to toe with them in a classic we'd have probably got beat. Even if we were flying.

Thursday can't come soon enough now, beat Arsenal and we will. then we've got a dozen plus very winnable matches after to kick on.

Yep Arsenal and Palace at home, then Norwich away. Win those three games and things a lot more rosy in the garden.

You've got to give credit to Carrick really. Not a lot of time to change things but 2 tough away games and a win and a draw. It wasn't pretty but it can't always be pretty. He's done United favors in his short time in charge.

De Gea 6

Thought so at the time, but the Chelsea penalty should have been retaken as there were 3 Chelsea players in the box when Jorginho hit the ball.

Serious VAR failure.

Feared the worst so coming away with a point seems like a win
Nothing really learnt as it all seems in limbo waiting for RR to come in .
Does annoy the shit out of me as in very small patches they show they can play quality but then revert to type
Hoping RR can unlock the quality and up the workrate, discission making and maybe get them to pass to each other not just hoof it anywhere

Doesn’t matter VAR only steps in if the penalty is missed and a Chelsea player gets the rebound.
