More opportunities with four teams qualifying for the competition compared to when only the winners qualified.

PSG owners must be fuming

Yeah I mean Lampard had them the same number of points behind us in the league. Through in the FA Cup and through in the Champions League.

Do Mount and Reece James Chelsea best two players this season come through without Lampard being there?

So Tuchel is riding on Lampard's coat tails?

Maybe we should look closer at this Lampard fellow.

Maybe keep an eye on this Ole fella whose finished above both of them in the league with a poorer squad.

I mean come on their choice off the bench down the wing is Pulisic, Ziyech or Hudson Odoi. Whilst Ole has James to turn to. Kante on his own in central midfield is better than McFred.

Mount doesn't come through at a club like Chelsea if it wasn't for that ban

I think Mount and James break through as they were seriously top talents but the ban certainly helped create an opportunity for them.

Tuchel has done a great job at Chelsea he’s organised the team well it’s not perfect yet but it was good enough to get to the FA Cup final, finish in the top 4 and win the Champions League.

We all know all this harmony may not last but at the moment it’s hard to believe they won’t be a force next season especially if they are able to buy again and with their owner they may have access to cash that other clubs don’t.

Let's not forget Di Matteo managed the same feat in 2012. Chelsea's whole structure is such that a manager can come in and be on a roll straight away they're set up in a way that managers aren't of the importance they are at Old Trafford. And if like many fans seem to want to you want to move to that sack culture you've got to get the correct structure in place first.

Ends up being an amazing season for Chelsea with last night's victory. I think they'll be in the discussions for the league next season and fully expect Werner and Havertz to come good.

They're a tough side to break down so I think they will be up there next year

Pep got his tactics wrong again. I guess the league win dresses over that

True but Di Matteo hadn’t also done well in Germany and France before taking over at Chelsea. How the hell that team won the CL I’ll never know they were battered by both Barca and Bayern but somehow got the job done and won it. Chelsea were worthy winners this time around knocked out the two best teams in Spain over 2 legs and were the better side against the best side in England.

Bit of a funny season this year lots of the big forces of the last decade are all rebuilding even Bayern who were miles ahead last season were nowhere near as strong this season.

Tuchel is clearly a very good coach he’s walked into a club with a lot of very good players that’s he’s whipped back into shape pretty quickly and got results that the previous manager wasn’t getting.

Kante was unreal last night getting him back to full fitness has been vital just totally dominates the middle of the park must be impossible to play against big it’s Keano levels of control and dominance.

As you say Chelsea’s structure allows them to make these quick ruthless decisions when it comes to the manager and they made the right call this season binning Lampard to get Tuchel.

Signed a new deal to 2024

Thiago Silva and Girondins have extended their deals for another 12 months.

Reports suggest Tammy Abraham will be sold this summer but will be interesting to see if they go big again on buying players to really go for the title.

Being linked with Ashraf Hakimi from Inter they’re looking to sell him to cover over spending from previous seasons.

Reported to be around 60m which would be an odd buy when they’ve already got James.

They want 65m PSG offered 56 or something. Maybe inter are trying to drag the price up
