Will it actually change the result if they overturn Pennsylvania though?

Hasn't Biden got enough seats from elsewhere that he still gets over the 270?

The madness still rages on Trump now caught on tape asking the governor of Georgia to find him the votes he needs to change the result of the election.

He once again made allegations of fraud with no evidence of it being presented.

The rest of the world must be laughing their backsides off at what is going on in America right now the greatest power in the world has become a complete laughing stock.

Lets hope Trump is one thing that gets left in 2020
 
Looks like the Republicans could lose control of the senate too after a re-run for the 2 seats in Georgia.

This would be a massive result for the democrats.
 
6pm Curfew announced tonight in Washington.

Trump at least has tweeted asking them to remain peaceful.
 
They’re sending in additional forces as the protestors are armed could get very ugly I really hope it doesn’t.

What a mess Trump has caused with his conspiracy nonsense America is in a real bad place right now.

Yeah he's behaved very dangerously, especially since the election. I actually wanted him to win the election as imo Biden is even more of a fraud and a flake, but with the way Trump is currently acting the US are best shot of him asap.

I'd vote for anyone but him I think he's a very dangerous man obsessed by power and his own image he is the worst type of person you want leading your country and had he got a second term his first policy would have been to look to remove fixed terms from the presidency.

I can't say I know enough about Biden he's a bit of a return to the normal type of presidential candidate but I think America needs that right now.
 
yeah, Trump has no interest in anything or anyone other than himself. If I was American I would have voted for anyone else. He's set that country back years. Very dangerous man. And I imagine he will remain that way until the day he dies, creating division in the US

Saw a magazine cover on social media with Trump holding a match and the country burning behind him. That’s pretty apt.
 
I'd hope that his behaviour since he lost the election will have put off a lot of republican voters there's a group of loyal supporters who will stick with him no matter what but I think there's a lot of republicans who will turn against him now. They turned a blind eye to a number of things but they've seen the actions now so when it comes to nominating the presidential candidate to go against Biden in 2025 they won't be putting Trump up again.

It's very hard to tell what Trump actually believes in other than win at all costs he doesn't seem to care about the impact of his decisions as long as the result is he looks strong.

What Trump does next is a very interesting question my guess is he'll say a lot of stuff but he won't go back for another run at president.
 
From what I read, he's a stupid man, which isn't hard to work out, and he takes a lot of his advice from Guliani
 
I'd be surprised if Trump didn't run again. Being the most powerful man on the planet is a big part of his image and ego and if we are honest he probably walks a second election without Covid.
 
They just had a republican on R5 saying Trump will run as an independant.
 
Who knows what he will do? He's very unpredictable Biden will likely be a 1 term president due to his age so it's likely his VP will run for the next term if America does well over the next few years he won't go again. He will only go again if he's convinced he will win.

I think he'd rather not do it all again and just say the reason he won't run is he knows they'll rig it so he can't win just like they did in 2020.

Him running as an independant would terrify the Republicans because they know that they're screwed the democrats would walk the election as Trump would split the Republican vote.

To keep Trump out it's really on the Democrats to deliver now they need to convince all the voters who came out for them this time around to come out again because they've delivered on their promises.

More news coming out as the death toll from the riot rises to 5.

1 police officer died due to injuries suffered and 13 others were injured.
1 rioter was shot by a police officer who's been placed on leave
3 others died from medical conditions on the day... not really sure what that means.

2 members of Trumps Cabinet have resigned over what happened and the the speaker of the house has threatened to begin the impeachment process if his party don't invoke the 25th amendment.

There's also suggestions that Trump refused to call in the national guard to deal with the protesters it was his vice president who ended up making that call to return the capitol to order.

Very dark day for America the worlds greatest democracy came under threat because of rumour about vote rigging and the division is a sign of weakness that won't go un-noticed by their enemies around the world.

Watching it on TV just felt like another bonkers thing going on over in America and I didn't think to much of it but then you sit back and think wow a group of armed people stormed into the American equivalent of the houses of parliament and took control trashing the place.

I know the police sort of stepped back and allowed it to happen to avoid a shoot out but that could have got very nasty very quickly.

I've actually seen the video of the women getting shot online it's grim but it looks like she was warned to stay back and continued to advance but the officer who fired has been put straight on leave pending a review.

Surely going to be a lot of arrests following this event.

I thought the cops were very hands off tbh for a mob storming a government building, in a lot of places it would have needed a lorry to collect the corpses.
No sympathy for the victim, when armed law enforcement are giving you orders while you're breaking the law you should expect a bullet.

Yeah it was surprising where was the when they start looting we start shooting mentality from a few months back? Sounds like the president delayed the deployment of reinforcements to the capitol.

I hope that part man part horse bloke turns up dressed like that in court.

Trump kicked off all major social media platforms now so the man can launch a nuke but he can’t tweet surely they will be removing him from power early after this. If he’s impeached or the 25th amendment is enforced he is not able to run for president again.

I'd like to think as part of the transition of power his nuclear privileges would be scaled back anyway? I don't know tbh, but would seem nuts that any outgoing president could wage nuclear war.

I think there’s a lot of protocols to go through before he can actually say yes the request to use them starts with military from memory not like he can just go nuts on his last day and let rip.

Not sure how it works I assume he maintains full control until he hands over all Biden gets now is access to classified information so he is fully aware of domestic and foreign issues and strategy before he starts.
