Some reports (RMC - never heard of them) saying we have contacted Monaco about a loan move for Falcao, because we are selling/loaning Hernandez & Welbeck and RvP is going to have a knee surgery.

Any one know of RMC? Could all be rubbish but thought I'd post it.

Find it hard to believe that we'd go for him if we were sceptical of Vidal's knee injury. Falcao has also recently come back from a knee injury. I'd take him without a doubt but can't see it happening.

We have submitted a bid, according to Manu Sainz, who is an AS journalist and commentator of Cadena SER.

Falcao talk is growing. Seems mental that we're buying a striker and not strengthening defence and midfield further. Not complaining though.

Tancredi Palmeri just said we've bid for Falcao. It looks set to be us or City. He's a world class ST, but where will that leave Rooney & RvP? Fair enough if RvP has his surgery then yeah, but what happens when all fit? With Rooney & Falcao I'm guessing we are sticking with two upfront unless Rooney or Mata go out wide.

Don't think this is happening. It may be either his agent trying to make it seem like a bidding war or grade A click baiting.

I'd rather stick with Welbeck and spend on a midfielder. Any midfielder will do at this point.

Is this really happening?? I really can't believe this. If this goes through Woody deserves a knighthood.

United have agreed a loan for Falcao subject to medical and agreeing personal terms, according to several media outlets.

He ia a top player who I welcome. Just a little worried it doesn't really address the midfield issue.

I heard it was £12m. Mental considering we are demanding £5m for Welbeck.

Now they are saying its £6m with wages of 200k. I admit it I have gone into full muppet mode today.

What a day this is turning out to be! If van Persie rumour is true and he needs a knee op this makes a whole lot more sense. People are saying we don't need a striker but Falcao has got good pace and can get in behind defences. Great with both feet and his head, comes alive in the box. A proper #9 where as van Persie and Rooney are more like 10's. Falcao is like Hernandez but a lot better!

Apparently because Monaco have no tax laws for us to pay his wages including tax we are paying him 346k

Back page of Independent tomorrow has quotes from Falcao about signing for us. Seems like a done deal.
