I tend to agree, it just hasn’t been right at us or Spurs. I think his next move maybe into International management. He also spoke of his desire to manage Portugal so that maybe his next step.
 
Dele was rubbish under Poch too he's been in bad form for 2 1/2 seasons now and Mourinho gave him plenty of chances at the start and he didn't cut it.

I can see why Mourinho is fed up of being asked about him not playing and he can't say what he really thinks because he'll get hammered in the press for it.

Seems pretty obvious to me that all parties wanted a split in January but they couldn't make the deal with PSG or find a short term replacement as they didn't want to be left light. They binned of Gedson Fernandes instead sent him back to Benfica 6 months early.

Dele to me is quickly becoming another Wilshere everyone talks about how good he is not realising that the great Dele season was 5 years ago!

Ever since that breakthrough season in 2016 he's never hit those heights again and since 2018 much like Lingard at Utd he's been rubbish.

When a team loses everyone suddenly starts talking about those who aren't playing and how great they are but if they can't get in a poor side how bad must they look in training. People might think Mourinho is this vindictive guy but in the case of Dele he'd pick him if he was actually playing better than Ndombele and dancing around a load of part time players isn't really telling us anything.

Jose always picks on at least one. Dele is not as bad as he has been under Jose. It's bad management.
 
Deles only piece of form in the last 3 years was the first few games after Jose started.

Remember Dele pretty much downed tools for Poch.
 
He’s had a lot of injuries since 2018 I think it’s taken an edge off his game the aggression and nasty streak he had has gone might be physical might be mental.

He’s close to Poch he gave him his chance and plenty of chances at Spurs you could tell from that Amazon documentary Mourinho tried to get in his head and get the old Dele back. It hasn’t worked I just don’t think thT version of him exists anymore.

People will keep giving him chances because they’ve seen what he could do as a young man but for me the ships sailed any club going near him now are fools.
 
Game basically turned on a silly error to give away a penalty but it’s hard to see much progress under Jose.

They used to go to City and rattle them really knock them off their stride but today it was so easy for them.
 
Penalty was stupid to give away. Lloris really should have done better with all three. Even the penalty once he guesses right and gets a hand to it.
 
Don’t see them sacking him during the season will be interesting to see what happens if he doesn’t deliver top 4.

Will be an expensive man to sack as he will be on big money.
 
West Ham 2-1 Spurs

caught the second half the West Ham goal led a charmed life and that was the best I’ve seen Bale play.

Falling well off the top 4 pace at the moment.

Depends. Were you wrong about Poch when he had Spurs in a worse position than this and you thought he was the right man for the United job?

Spurs are so shocking at the back. Mourinho will need to just go against all his standard thoughts and start enjoying 7 goal thrillers.
 
He’s a year into the job now and he hasn’t made them any better.

They play worse football and still get the same mixed bag of results.

I do think Spurs should have stuck with Poch and a lot of their fans feel that way but I can see why they made the change performances had been poor for a while.

Rebuilding that great defence they had back in 2016 has been tough they had an excellent back 4 in Walker, Alderwiereld, Vertonghen, Rose not having a reliable defence was the downfall of Poch and it’s currently killing Mourinho.

You can't show how good you are at PSG. I could go there and win the title.

Unless he wins the champions League he's a failure.

As for Mourinho he inherited a team that were in the bottom half based on results over the past year and very little time on the training pitch between games in a weird time. If he wins the league cup or Europa League this summer he's been more of a success than Poch was. To write off his time at Tottenham now is silly.
 
At PSG, he is on a hiding to nothing.
He must win Ligue 1, and will get no credit for doing so. That’s fine.
As you say, he must win the champions league to be considered a success.
But that isn’t easy. Pep is still trying to win it at City.
Is he failing? Look at City’s net spend in the last 10 years.
It is monstrous, and he is still trying to win it.
(Don’t anyone tell me they didn’t breach FFP)...
Poch did a great job at Spurs with a fraction of that spend...
...and might have won the champions league had Kane been 100% fit.
And not conceded a dubious early penalty.
You have always been far too harsh on him.
And another thing...
...would PSG have hired Ole for their opening? A definite NO!!!
They hired him because they know he makes good players better, plays good football, trusts and develops young players (unlike ZZ and Jose)...
...and can win them the big one.
I only wish he was managing Real...

Jose dropping a few more bombs today, it's not him or his staff, they are the best in the world
 
Spurs 4-1 Crystal Palace

Starting to find a bit of form after a dodgy patch the 2 big hitters Son and Kane are fit again and now Bale is starting to join the party that is some strike force if Mourinho can keep the firing no reason they can't fly up the league.

The issues really are at the back think they've still got a lot of work to do to sort that defence out this summer.

Big test this weekend though the north london derby.
 
It's a test because it's a derby game.

It also tees up what is to come as we go to Spurs in a few weeks time.
 
Who will he blame this time?

I am not actually taking pleasure in it. Just saying that's all and I do think his coat might be on a shoogly peg
