With him back we need to switch to 4-3-3 we don’t have a number 10 so we need to stop playing a system that requires one.

Perhaps a slight exaggeration but he did more in 26 minutes than Lingard, Mata and Pereira have done all season. He has to play at 10 and the freedom to roam.

Not sure it is an exaggeration, he isn’t fully fit but those 26 minutes showed what we have been lacking. McT and Fred can do the donkey work behind him and just let Pogba do his thing because he will win us a lot of football matches. He made things happen as soon as he came on with his skill and vision. Also Martial seemed to come alive too. Really hope he can stay injury free because by god we need him for the rest of this season.

He's got tremendous ability when he's in the right mood. Such a fun player to watch.

Looks like 3-4 weeks out with this ankle injury. Well that confirms he won’t be sold in January but I’m starting to doubt whether we will see him much more this season especially if he needs surgery.

The comments Ole made were seriously alarming. Comments no manager should be making.

I agree, why is his team deciding and not the club.

This is not a good sign, I think Pogba's playing a few games here.

Coupled with his agents weird comments.

I think he goes in January. I think the injury is an excuse and he'll he magically fit to pass a medical later this month.

Wasn’t quite that simple after the game he confirmed the clubs own doctors agreed surgery was required to resolve the problem and that the sooner it was done the better.

Still Utd need to bring an end to all this and just sell him but I just don’t see where he goes.

You can tell he’s getting a bit fed up with it all now.

It’s a new injury according to Ole all above board it needs addressing so that’s what is happening.

I didn’t get the whole annoyance at what Ole said it was obvious what he meant people just want to make a storm out of nothing.

Yeah just an easy one for journalists to jump on because the quote writes it’s own story anyone who knows anything about how football works knows that players will always get second opinions on injuries normally from doctors they’ve used before.

I think it’s good that Ole comes out supporting his player and has a go back think it’ll do him a favour with the squad.

All the conspiracy stuff is odd and Utd for years now has been a very leaky dressing room there have been almost no stories quoting sources within the club saying anyone is unhappy with Pogba. Players, coaches, manager, directors, kitchen staff etc there’s been almost nothing to suggest he’s unsettling people he’s just injured which is no good for anyone.

The less football he plays the less likely he is to get a move he obviously wants to leave but not playing isn’t speeding up that process.

The cast is off his ankle. He’s only played 520 minutes this season.

With him and Scott nearly returning and Fernandes on his way in hopefully we can see an upturn again.

Be interesting to see at what point they actually bring him back in.

I know you're not a fan but I would imagine he'll be itching to get going he needs to start playing football again ahead of the Euros and to get his profile up if he wants to move on.

If the cast is off you imagine it's a week or two of physio to get the movement back in the joint then hopefully he'll be good to go.

After this weekend Utd have 2 weeks off before Chelsea so I guess that game might be a realistic return date for him even if he was just on the bench it would provide a boost to the team.

I'm a huge fan of Pogba, but if he doesn't want to play we should sell.

I think he'll try and manage himself to stay fit for the summer, he's just not into Man Utd and it shows. I wished he was.

I think the truth is somewhere in the middle yes he wants to go but he knows not playing is making it more likely he stays.

As for his love of the club I think he does think highly of the club for what it did for him as a young player in developing his skills but his return has been a disaster for him both on and off the field. Some of that is down to him but a lot is down to the club he came back here to win and I think he probably worked out pretty quickly that there's was little to no chance of that happening.

Utd should probably have tried to sort this out last summer once a player wants to go you let him go but if no one wants to buy what can you really do the injuries this season haven't really benefitted anyone in my opinion but 100% Pogba should be allowed to leave in the summer but to do that he needs to be playing and playing well because he costs a fortune.

Said he expects to be fit for the Chelsea game.

City game isn't it? hasn't done any outside training yet.

It's a shame because I would really like to see Pogba in a midfield with Bruno. That would be some entertaining football! Just have to figure out a way to bring Berbatov back, and it would be pure porn.

My guess is he’s pencilled in for the return leg vs LASK.

Wouldn’t surprise me if another excuse appears though.

Be great if we had him available for the run in but we need a fully fit and fully focused Pogba as currently we seem to have neither.

I would rather we kept our midfield as it is than letting in A distraction who brings everyone eles down I hope he comes back in a good mind set he knows as long as he’s fit he’ll always be picked for France at the euros

Yeah, I can't figure out where he'd play with our current midfield shape and formation. We use Fred and Matic/McT behind Bruno, with James on the right and Martial left, 4-2-3-1 ish, but Pogba and Bruno together means Fred or Matic sacrificed, and then who does the defensive side? Pogba's (supposed) best position was left of a midfield 3. Would we go Pogba - Bruno - McTominay, with Martial - Ighalo - James ahead of them? I just don't know. Bruno likes to get forward, but is he a #10? I can't see a 433 sticking, it would end up more of a 4-3-1-2?

Martial - Bruno - Greenwood
Pogba - Matic - McTominay
Shaw - Maguire - Lindelof - AWB

?

We look good lately so scrapping what is working in order to have something also work... I mean, we're already winning, 9 games unbeaten.

Pogba and Bruno either side of Fred. All 3 are box to box midfielders. Pogba is a level above those that aren’t Bruno and having both of them to create things would really make us tick.

Best thing Liverpool did apart from singing VVD was letting Coutinho go sometimes the players have to play for each other.
