Tyler Reid player profile - Manchester United - Official Manchester United Website

A powerful full-back who was formerly with Arsenal's Academy, Tyler Reid won the Milk Cup with Manchester United in 2013.

Although not starting a game at Under-18 level in 2013/2014, he came off the bench on five occasions and earned a regular place as a first-year trainee last term.

Quick to get forward and sturdy at the back, the right-sided defender is a muscular presence and was one of the most improved performers over the course of the campaign.

"Tyler has improved hugely," suggested coach Paul McGuinness. "He started off quite nervous in certain situations but looks pretty positive now. He still has a lot of work to do, as they all do, but he did well."

Reid played in 29 matches during the season and pinned down a regular place at right-back. As one of the oldest of the Under-18 group, he will be tasked with more responsibility in 2015/16 and asked to maintain his sharp upward curve.

Disappointing news, big fan of his. Built like a brick shithouse, always assisting.

I spoke to his dad last week about this, and they just felt that there would be better opportunities for progression away from United at this moment in time.

He will do well at Swansea

Understandable why he's left I think just like others in the past and present. A shame but can't complain, he might get a chance right away at Swansea where as he'd be playing in our U21s or on loan at a League 1 club. Think he's got a good future ahead of him. Swansea have an opening at right back too with Naughton being unreliable and Angel Rangel getting on a bit now.
