Loved how bad Madrid made Haaland look too, although that isn't that hard, if he doesn't score he seems to do absolutely nothing. Really don't think Pep even likes him and he doesn't fit in that City team. So odd.
 
Regards Haaland it shows how easy it is to stop him when you know what you are doing, stop the service and you stop him scoring.
He asked to come off according to Pep.

Not what I'd want to hear from my main striker, some fight would be nice.

I remember City having some decent chances to get balls in the box in extra time too, and that's where Haaland would have been. The commentator even said as much, so I wonder what Pep thinks about that if he did ask to come off? De Bruyne was still looking for his same pass to the back post too with no one there to even try and receive it. They seemed out of ideas by the end though.

It definitely wasn’t a Pep style signing, I think the objective with signing him was to provide the goals to win the CL and that’s what was delivered.

He is poor when he doesn’t score goals. When he’s scoring then it masks his deficiencies but when he’s in poor scoring form, he adds nothing to the team in my opinion.
 
I think his dream for his dream move to Madrid is in the bin unless his improves his game dramatically.

Yeah. I don't know that I'd even want him for just goals, I think the best players have a whole lot more to their game, at least one other use.

I think he's also top of the chart when it comes to big chances missed.

So again, he's a very odd player.
 
I know it's fashionable to diss rival players, and I say that as somebody who thinks dissing Manchester City should be on the school curriculum but if Haaland signed for United in the Summer the country would come to a standstill as United fans organised street-parties on every street/avenue from Carlisle to Lands End.

Best stock up on icecream and jelly, just in case ....

Don’t think I would to be honest, if he was brought into this team where it is now he would be put into that Lukaku bracket of being pretty useless if he wasn’t scoring goals.

I think Hojlund will end up the better all round player.

Would be hilarious if city ended up with nothing this season and klopp only the league cup media would be in mourning until the euros.
 
It certainly does. Both of these teams are always in it, playing good CL football, and we really need to get back to the that point. They prove it's possible.
