I have been waiting until the off season to make the switch. The switch was planned to happen next week, however something unexpected has popped up meaning my time will be limited. So today's the day.
Avatars
I have decided to allow the use of avatars. I am not overly keen, but we'll see how it goes. Avatars will be moderated for suitability by @Sideshow Bob.
No signatures.
Tapatalk
The forum no longer supports Tapatalk. The sole reason for using Tapatalk was to provide an alternative for users who viewed the forum on their mobiles, tablets etc., however XenForo supports an excellent responsive design. I highly recommend giving it a go.
Private Messages
Private Messages are now called Conversations.
Alerts
Alerts replace notifications.
Taken from XenForo's website: Users will receive alerts when someone quotes their post or responds to a status update, when they receive a new trophy, and more.
Trophy Points
'Earn Trophies' is an in-built feature that I dislike. Templates have been customised to remove trophy points. You will still receive alerts for when a trophy should have been awarded. Therefore please ignore.
There will be an option to globally disable the feature in XenForo's next update, which is due for release soon. I will look into the alerts (it's on my to do list).
Recent Activity Stream
XenForo's website: Allow people to easily see all the recent happenings on your forum, beyond just the messages posted. Members can follow each other to get their own personalized news feed showing the content they want to see.
