There's no way this one happens before the deadline. No way United spend big again at this point.
 
With the numbers reported seems to be very far fetched.
 
Think it's linked with Mendes trying to get Ronaldo a move Napoli are apparently interested but to make it happen they'd need to find a buyer for Osimhen.

Utd apparently like him but hard to see them finding another 100m for a striker

I really like this guy.... shame we will have to pay about £100m and therefore will probably end up signing Rickie Lambert as a short term option .... ...
 
Not sure he’s worth the £100m or whatever it’ll take to get him. Sure he’s a terrific goal scorer but I fear he may run into the same problems as Lukaku had in the EPL. He hasn’t got the greatest of techniques so maybe found out here. A big team will take a punt on him eventually but not sure if it should be us.

The one Napoli player I would be going all in on would be the Georgian fella - not even going to attempt to spell his name without looking it up. He’s going to be one of the very best players in the world. Very very Messi like.
 
He’s very good but he will be very expensive as a result.

At some point Utd have got to put the cash on that table and buy a top striker.

The defences in England are a lot better than defences in Serie A

Certainly got to be one on the list for the summer but he’s going to cost a fortune.

Gets a few to many injuries for my liking but he’s a quality striker who I think would fit perfectly into our team.
 
Think we will get Gakpo in January, seems like he can play wide or central, leaving the potential to sign Osimhen in the summer as then we will have a nice balance of central/wide options - Osimhen, Antony, Martial, Gakpo, Rashford, Garnacho, Sancho etc

Osihmen’s wages are going to be a massive problem for any club. He’s on silly money at Napoli
 
I don't really get the idea of signing this player. Isn't he playing for Galatasary right now? And on loan at the age of 26 or 27 ?
Someone has posted that Napoli want to sell him and with the money, buy Duran.
We bought Casemiro for a fortune and RM used the cash to buy Bellingham .
Everything about it rings alarm bells.
 
I wonder whether both clubs see it as a bit of a gamble with minimal risk? Rashford wants out of United, Osihmen wants out of Napoli. Do a swap deal of sorts and give both a new challenge. May not work out for either but the current situation for both isn’t going to work out either.
 
I think we badly needs goals right now and he scores them.

The question mark is over his capability to perform in our team and league, and as jsp said, his insane wages.

Decided to take a look at the Napoli reddit and boy do they never want him to return. Has been described as a cancer and toxic influence.
 
They're only saying that because he doesn't want to play for them.

I've read some of their fans saying they'd love his goals back.

For how prolific he is you just put up with any problems he has unless it is affecting the whole team. So they're talking rubbish.
 
His agent likes to talk in the press by all accounts he's a player who's name is always in the papers which probably isn't going to make him popular with fans.

I suspect they just want the saga to be over but the club have put a big price tag on him so it's hard for him to move as he also wants big wages.

I can't see him going on loan to another club this season and there's no way anyone is going to buy him in January.
