United Under-21s face Sunderland at the AJ Bell Stadium - Official Manchester United Website

Manchester United's Under-21s are back in action on Monday night with a home clash against Sunderland at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Coach Warren Joyce is enjoying having a more settled squad at his disposal but is likely to be forced to make changes due to injuries and illness. Donald Love, who has switched from right-back to the centre of defence for the last couple of games, is sidelined while Joe Rothwell was forced off against West Ham and could be a doubt.

"A bit of illness has struck some of them down this week," revealed Joyce to ManUtd.com. "We have a few struggling and several doubts for Monday.

"It's unfortunate for Donald that he has picked up an injury and he'll be out on Monday. I'm really pleased with him for the way he has handled playing in the middle. His use of the ball is very good but also his defending and reading of situations have also been impressive."

The Black Cats are third in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League table after a 2-0 win at Wolves last time out with the Reds currently in seventh position and facing a fight to clinch a semi-final spot via the top-four placings.

Janko - a RB or right winger? What do we think? We may decide to move away from the traditional winger so is RB more likely?

Not sure what to think of Janko. Young physically developed footballers tend to shine at younger age groups, but they can struggle at senior level. Josh King springs to mind. Does Janko rely on his physically attributes? Does he possess the technical ability? At 18 he still has time to develop/improve though.
