Under-21s preview: Manchester United v Leicester City - Official Manchester United Website

Manchester United's Under-21s look set to play their final game of 2015 when Leicester City provide the opposition at Leigh Sports Village on Monday.

Warren Joyce's side were due to play Manchester City on 22 December but that fixture has been postponed due to the FA Youth Cup tie with QPR taking place on the same night. It means the Reds will end the year having played only six matches in the division but one of those, the first of the season, came at the Foxes' King Power Stadium.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw with Guillermo Varela scoring the goal and United have made a decent start to the defence of the title, losing only once - away to Norwich City. A number of Joyce's charges have been elevated to the first-team squad of late, including Varela, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Nick Powell, which could have an impact on his selection.

Axel Tuanzebe was an unused substitute for the senior side's defeat at Bournemouth on Saturday and so could be available.

Donald Love has extended his loan at Wigan Athletic while the team was fortified by the presence of Sergio Romero, Marouane Fellaini and Andreas Pereira in the 3-2 win over Liverpool last time out.

The 19:00 GMT kick-off is being screened exclusively live on MUTV and there is free entry for all fans.
