Looks like Richarlison is on his way.

£50m plus £10m in add ons.

Think he's a good signing for them plays anywhere across the front 3 and gives them a bit of strength in depth that's been missing from the forward line.

Saying on the radio Everton have been touting him about which is why he's been linked to everyone. Everton need to sell today for FFP

Not really sure FFP matters to Everton the premier league rules aren't that strict anyway.

It's what they said, been posting lots of debts the last 3 seasons.

Yeah they are in a right mess because of the over spending but not sure the punishment for breaking the rules for the premier league are that bad bit of a slap on the wrist and as long as you show you're putting it right you won't be punished.

It's not like La Liga where the rules are really strict and the league can ban you from signing players.

Done deal for Richarlison.

Looks like Spurs are really loading up for this season.

Do we think Richardilson starts? I'm guessing at this price he does but instead of who?

Nah he's coming in as a good squad option. He's behind Kane Son and Kulu but covers as back up for all 3.

I think they'll look to rotate the front 3 a bit more next season with Champions League games they'll need to keep everyone fresh as the schedule before the world cup is brutal for the teams in Europe.

The great thing they've got is in Son and Richarlison is two players who can play anywhere in the front 3, Kane obviously a specialist in the centre and Kulu on the right but the other two can play either side and up the middle if they're needed.

They've also got Perisic now who if needed could play from the left in the front 3 or as a wing back.

Think it will really come down to form between Richarlison and Kulu over who starts more regularly but with 5 subs also coming in next season you will want a few options off your bench.

He is a lot of money but I think it's a good signing.

Apparently in talks to sign Djed Spence as well he really impressed on loan at Forest last season playing as a wing back which is what Conte wants his team to play with. They've struggled on that side so if he can make that step up it's another slot filled.

I'm surprised United haven't shown an interest in Spence. A promising young RB...

We've got full backs with as much promise as Spence. He's had a decent campaign in the championship and we aren't sure what he's like in a flat 4.

Yeah Spence looks like a wing back rather than a right back.

Utd also have Laird in the academy who's done similar played well out on loan in League One and Championship but both times playing as a wing back.

Utd just don't play that system.

If they have full backs with as much promise then who are they? Asides from Fernando (I think that's his name)? And is he's that highly rated why have they just signed another young LB?

Ethan Laird is the right back who's probably got a shot if he can keep himself fit but feeling is he's probably going to come up just short in terms of quality. Same way Brandon Williams probably has. Laird has spent the last 18 months out on loan at MK Dons, Swansea and Bournemouth. He was a starter for both Swansea and MK Dons but he arrived at Bournemouth with an injury and struggled to nail down a starting spot.

Alvaro Fernandez is the young left back we signed from Real Madrid in 2020 who's done well in the U23 team and there's also Marc Jurado a right back who came from Barcelona 2 years ago and has been used more at U18 level so far.

I suspect we've signed a left back because Telles is off and there's still doubts over Shaw he's on big money and you can't always rely on him.

Spence makes a lot more sense for Spurs than he does for us right now I think given the system they play. I suspect if Utd decide to move for a right back it'll be for someone who's used to playing as a full back rather than a wing back.

I can see Fernandez perhaps being converted into a defensive midfielder. He’s got brilliant technical ability but lacks a little bit pace. Would say he’s a little like Daley Blind in that respect.

I suspect Jurado will be pushing the first teamers in a year or two. Then like mentioned Laird is also about.

So yeah Spence is a decent enough player but we don’t need him.

So there's Fernández who may not be a long term LB but hey if he becomes a long term good player then that's a win. And then there is Jurado who is still very young and has the potential.

Besides those there's Laird who people think may fall short in terms of ability and that's it. I hardly think that's a strong future at the full back position.

Don’t think anyone is saying there’s some dead certs coming through but Spence doesn’t work for us because he’s a wing back not a full back.

Don't see what all the fuss is about with Spence, and he's obviously got attitude problems or Middlesboro wouldn't have loaned him out for the season to a club that they'd have expected to be competing for a promotion place against.

Not overly concerned by Tottenham's transfer business as they'd have been there or thereabouts for 4-6th with or without them.

Sold Bergwijn to Ajax for £24m.

Good deal for a guy who's not really delivered for them.

Wouldn't this be a replacement for Haller who's gone to Dortmund?
Bergwijn from what I have seen is a winger who can play on right or left? So it could be a direct replacement for Antony.

Spurs have done a great job selling him for that money - the only thing I can remember him doing is scoring against City on his debut.

scored against us as well first game back after lockdown shot went straight through De Gea.

Yeah they’ve done well to get that much for him

He got the double against Leicester in the 94/95th minute

Lenglet in from Barca on loan.

Gives them more options at the back

He's bloody awful. Can't see him getting many games. Not even an improvement on Dier at the back.

No he is decent option.
Conte is still on track to get 3rd.

He really isn't a decent option. I can only assume you haven't watched him play before. There is a reason Barca are happy to get rid of him with no fee.

Who would you rate him alongside in the league? He'd be our 6th choice CB. United would be slated for making such an awful signing.

He looked a really good player a few years ago when he first broke into the French side but he just hasn't kicked on since he moved to Barca, it happens, he'll be a useful acquisition for Tottenham.

If Spurs are going to play a back 3 they'll need plenty of depth at centre back so makes sense to me.

Confirmed the signing of Djed Spence from Middlesbrough.

Will be interesting to see how he does he was great at on loan at Forest last season helping them to promotion playing as a right wing back which is how Conte likes to play. That right side has been a problem for them in recent years tried a few guys out there and none really cracked it since Walker & Trippier departed. Aurier, Doherty and Emerson all struggled.

Would be tempted to put Spence in to my fantasy football - could be a bit of a wildcard worthy of a punt.

Famous last words:

Think you'd be better off keeping the £4.5m in the bank.

Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign defender Destiny Udogie from Udinese.

The Italy Under-21 international will be loaned back to the Serie A side for this season before joining up with Spurs for the 2023-24 season.

The 19-year-old left back will be Tottenham’s seventh summer signing following Ivan Perisic, Richarlison, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence.
