Sometimes you need to shop in the bargain bucket and I think this would be an astute signing.

His name has been mentioned a bit in the last few weeks, Wilcox knows him from the city academy.

Passes the ball out well from the back but he'd be well down a list of players from Fulham I'd like us to look at. Being a free helps I suppose.

My guess is they see him as the squad player role I still think they'll spend good money on a starter to go alongside Martinez next season.

My gut feeling is Maguire and Evans will both leave this summer and we know Varane is off.

As long as this guy isn't being put on silly wages then on paper it looks a good move.

Having a go at United just for the hell of it.

No fee to negotiate so it dosn't matter if Tom, Dick and Harry are in situ, and the Manager wouldn't have any say in it, if the club want him they will sign him, do keep up.

This should be a guy we look at, but no doubt we won't bother as he's free, we need to help Chelsea by buying their crap.

For me, I'd definitely test the water. Can't be wanting too much in wages either.

He missed a third of Fulham’s EPL games last season. A bit too injury prone for us no?

I don't like the fact he's had groin surgery. The good news on that is, those types of injuries are very common and should clear up with no lasting damage.

The first reason we should do this deal is that the player would suit our style of play. He's good technically, and good on the ball. He is capable of playing out from the back. He's big, tall, and a presence. That'll compliment Martinez.

The second reason I think we should be in there is the fact that he is free. He's on 40k a week currently I believe, so the max he should want is 60-80k signing for his next team. That's worth the risk, IMO.

I think we do have to become a bit smarter in the market, so I'm choosing to take a risk here and there.

I know what you are getting at though, and I've simply chose a different player to take my risk on. Mine is much less of a risk than yours though if things went south.

It all looks too little too late though, if we were even interested. Reports all about that Chelsea have all but sealed it.
