Wtf, I haven't read the actual article but that sounds all a bit of a waste from the headlines. Winter garden ffs

Essentially they’re overhauling the training ground to make it a better place for the players to train and the support staff to work effectively. Sounds like a good idea to me.

The winter garden is to protect against 'the notorious Manchester climate' which is obviously the cause of all of these injuries. Rofl. The snow and rain, could easily take Martinez out, I agree.

I do think that all of these small things will help though, I'm not against them.

I haven’t read the article but I’m going to be critical anyway?
Because you're not being critical

I don't do twitter, but I assume the points tell you what's going on, one of which was a water garden and us spending millions
Yet people on here have said we cannot afford the 10m to sack ETH
So I think it's fair point to suggest it's ridiculous. The football needs sorting out first at a football club if you're limited for money

Whilst this is a step in the right direction, it's going to be the appointment of the next manager that will influence me the most. The big decisions. This sort of stuff should be done automatically and doesn't need it's own story. You just expect these sort of things to fall into place under professional owners like SJR.

Not buying into that.

If Brailsford is doing anything it’ll be looking into the medical staff and setup at the training ground to try and get to the bottom of our injury issues.

Daily Mail reported yesterday that Ashworth sent a personal email to an INEOS email account before Utd made any approach to Newcastle saying that he wanted the move. The report suggests he copied in his official Newcastle email in on said email.

Utd need all this stuff sorted quickly so they can get on the front foot for the summer.

I really don't think this sh*t show is going to be fixed quickly I predict next season could still be very up and down on and off the pitch but this summer as a minimum they need to get all these key decision makers in the door and working together to set everything up.

Nearly every red top is reporting on SJR 5 rules for the new, so I guess existing manager

New signings under 25
No Galactigo's
Style of play for every team to be set by Wilcox
Manager asked what position he wants filling, not what player he wants
He'll be given a choice of 3

Not exactly revolutionary is it, probably how most clubs operate.

Also, the idea of no Galactico's what does that even mean?

Not sure it's what every club does. You think there is someone at City defining to Pep what his style of play should be? Wilcox should have an idea of the management/play style he wants and bring someone in that plays that way not dictate to the manager the style of play. Not liking the idea he has total control over all teams playing style. If he's that good why's he not a top manager and just have him doing the job?

No galacticos I assume that's his way of saying he doesn't want to spend big money.

The ex Barca directors were in first and set the style of play, started building the squad to suit then hired the perfect manager for their vision. They came in a few years before Pep and started building City in their vision which was basically take the Barcelona model and build it from scratch in Manchester.

I expect any manager is going to have a bit of license to put their own interpretation on it but the core principals about how a Utd side should play will be set in stone and should run through the first team down into the academy. Again it's nothing new and it's what Murtough and Fletcher should already have in place. Changing manager shouldn't mean we change all of this which feels like what happened in the last decade. The Utd manager should play the Utd way not Utd playing the managers way if that makes sense.

He might not want to but at some point if you want to win you are going to have to spend big on someone. Liverpool eventually had to break records for Allison and Van Dijk and Arsenal had to do the same for Rice at some point Utd will need to do the same.

The Galactico term I just think is so vague and it doesn't really work anymore because of FFP you can't just assemble a team of mega stars in 1 summer.

I'm not sure where you got one summer from.

Surely you know what a glactico is? Mbappe, Bellingham etc. Basically Madrid

I guess the idea is to pick talent on the way up, not established players looking for a pay day

This is where you might have missed that those directors were players under Cruijff. So it was not that they started building the squad to suit them but they followed the same game plan of Cruijff which of course Pep is the master student. So everyone played the same way for Barca before they became directors.
This Ratcliffe bloke is too full of himself I feel and this could get as bad as the Woodward era.

My point was it’s not going to be a 2009 summer where Real Madrid signed Ronaldo, Kaka, Xabi Alonso and Benzema all in 1 go to rebuild their starting XI.

Madrid have been picking off the top young talent season after season for the last few years. The last “Galactico” was probably Hazard 5 years ago and he flopped hard that felt like the moment where they decided never again. Maybe our moment was Casemiro.

They are spending big money on these kids and backing their judgement on their ability to become stars.

I don’t dispute pay days need to stop a new signing should never be earning more than the established players already at the club.

Isn’t he Jordi’s dad?

I’m well aware of their history as players then directors at Barcelona.

As for Ratcliffe let’s give the guy half a chance to sort this mess out and I doubt he is going to be hands on here. He might be when it comes to the money side of things off the pitch but in terms of football he will expect the people he’s hiring as experts in their field to get that right and deliver results on the pitch.

Reports on Twitter that despite record revenue the club are reporting losses, its no wonder SJR isn't happy. I remember reading he's stopped the Glazers taking dividends for three years, hope that wasn't bs

I believe that was part of the investment conditions no dividends to be paid to shareholders over the next 3 years as the club rebuilds depleted cash reserves.

Toby Craig is set to become United’s new chief communications officer.

Craig, who previously worked at Chelsea and Man City, has worked with incoming chief executive Omar Berrada at the Etihad Stadium where he was director of corporate affairs.

Hopefully his first act will be to sorting out all the issues fans have been having this season with banning season ticket holders for frivolous things.

Second job cut all links Utd currently have with the fan channels that all needs shutting down straight away especially that one run by Goldbridge as they are toxic and no good for the club.

Everything that SAF did they are throwing out. I think this is not going to end well with the way the club is run. Has Ineos won anything yet with their football clubs they own? I do not know anything about them before they bought into United.
So they want to improve focus in the canteen?
Might introduce TUE ( Therapeutic Use Exemptions) so that Rashford might be tempted to run a bit more? This Sir David chap is a master at that.
