Good deal for Arsenal but a big step down for Ramsdale surely he will want a relegation release clause.

3 points thrown away again today. At what point do their fans start to get worried about the managers inability to change tactics? 2-0 up against fellow relegation contenders and gifted them the points.

Look comfortably the worst team in the league. Can't see any way they stay up at the moment.

Currently on track to be the worst team the Premier league has ever seen. On track for 5 points over the season.

I can say now… Martin has to go. At this point it is embarrassing! We are absolutely getting relegated if we don’t make changes (though I suspect it is too late).

Southampton remain on 5 points after being thrashed 5-0 by Spurs. Will they get more points than Derby who with 11 points hold the record for the lowest tally in Premier League history?

Martin sacked.

I don’t think they are as terrible as Derby were because they don’t actually play half bad but they just lack a real cutting edge. They are a certainty to be relegated unless the next man comes in and shakes things up.

I think ultimately Martin had to go. He did a good job last year and I love our style but it is suicide in the PL. We don’t have enough goals and with our style of play we make mistakes at the back.

Other clubs (all of whom are doing better than us) have sacked their manager so I think this was just a necessity.

No surprise they very much look like a team who were not good enough to come up.

You have to be seriously good to stay up playing the way they play.

I think they'll get more than 11 points but can't see them mounting any sort of recovery.

Don't see where the goals are coming from.

You have to wonder how they got promoted.

Awful side

I think the gulf in class between the PL and Championship is ever widening. This will be the second season in a row where the three teams that came up go straight back down.

Ipswich have been okay at times and produced the odd good performance but the other two have been rotten.

Southampton looked great last season with high intensity passing football but they didn’t adapt to the league and were in the end woefully out of their depth. It was the same with Burnley last year - albeit they looked like they belonged a little more.

Certainly has to be a worry.

Think we've just had some poor sides come up recently. Sides that come up trying to play football on the deck just get found out as they're not going to be as good at it as the premier league sides who are ruthless.

Leicester probably weren't helped by losing Maresca.

It's odd because we say these teams aren't good but the last two managers who've won the championship are currently managing Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

2 of the sides that went down last season look like they'll be coming back up straight away hard to imagine they won't both be going down again.

Because in the Championship the style of football we played we got away with and were able to dominate teams. The Championship isn’t as cut throat so you get with conceding goals or not being punished for sloppiness. But we were always going to be in trouble in the PL if we weren’t sensible and pragmatic.

I get that and the playoff system doesn't always mean the best 3 sides come up.

I don't really follow them did they lose some important players over the summer when they came up?

We were one of the top 3 sides in the championship last year. We made an awful start but without that we probably would have gotten automatic promotion.

We didn’t lose players but we had a very good championship team that wasn’t good enough to compete in the PL. And we didn’t do enough to improve the team. There’s some issues with the owners that really doesn’t help either.

I think Leeds finished 3rd so they'd probably say by the table they were the third best side but granted there wasn't a lot in it.

That may be part of the issue currently the premier league has got a lot better at taking the best players out of the championship so the sides coming up aren't really coming up with players that are good enough for this level.

Struggling to think of to many players from the relegated sides last season who were signed by premier league sides this season. The ones who are likely to go down aren't going to be picked apart either. Ipswich will lose Delap and Southampton will probably lose that youngster Dibling but not if they're serious about getting a huge fee for him.

Yeah I think the last two years the sides have been poor and they haven’t bought particularly well. A lot have been signings you would probably say are more championship standard.

The previous year it was Bournemouth, Fulham and Forest and all three stayed up, with Fulham in particular doing well. However Fulham did have a good squad of players from when they were relegated led by Mitrovic up top. Forest also spent a shed load!

I look at the top of the Championship and maybe Leeds could have a chance if they came back up. The other teams like Burnley and Sheffield Utd would probably be sure things to go back down, unless they bought very well.

I think a lot of it now is can you drag one of the other 17 clubs into the fight. It does feel like one of them has got to get it really really wrong now to fall out of the league. Leicester were the last one to really fall away they went from 8th to 18th in a season

I thought Brentford might struggle this season and Wolves certainly did for the first 6 months of the season but they have been able to pull themselves clear. You'd think next season Wolves will be vulnerable again if Cunha goes.

Going on form Ipswich are on track for 25 points, last season you needed 32 points (36 if you take out their points deduction) to finish 17th, season before 36, season before 38. So they aren't even getting anywhere near survival which is a worry.

I catch the odd Leeds game on sky and it still looks like the side that got relegated it's hard to see any of them staying up. For any of them to stand a chance they have to get off to a good start and get some points on the board early doors.

Leeds could try and argue that… We played them 3 times last year and beat them every single time. In fact in the one game we battered them so that’s a short argument for their fans .
