An intelligent operator whose 2014/15 season was ruined by injury after a promising start.
The creative midfielder is a very neat and tidy performer in the centre of the park and has the guile to carve out opportunities.
A late developer in terms of physicality, he is said to be in the mould of somebody like Tom Cleverley at a similar age. Patience will be preached by the Academy staff as he's a ball-winner who can get box-to-box and is capable of finishing any chances he gets on the end of.
By impressing when initially coming off the bench, he showed his potential in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League in 2013/14 and a pre-season outing at Trafford FC showed he had sprouted up over the summer.
Indeed, he has become one of the tallest players in the squad and looks capable of making up for lost time after making only eight appearances last term, five as a starter.
"Scott is a really good player so we missed him as he was out almost all season with growth and development issues," commented Paul McGuinness. "I'm hoping we may be able to get dispensation for Scott to play again for the Under-18s next season in some games as he has had so long out."
