Wish we'd never sold Lukaku. He was my favourite player when we did. Hated it. I'd have him back.Chuck Carney Chukwuemeka, Levi Colwill and erm Lukaku into any deal and we can talk, otherwise do one ....

He's exactly what our team is missing right now. A potential target man and 20 goal a season striker. Chelsea clearly don't want him either. I'd definitely try and sign him. We have apparenty no use for Sancho, so it's perfect really. Doubt it'll happen though. Not everybodies cup of tea but when he's got his goalscoring head on has few equals.
Yeah, well apart from a top-notch LB and a controlling midfielder. He's exactly what our team is missing right now. A potential target man and 20 goal a season striker. You know it’s bad when Lukaku is suggested as the answer to our problems!Wish we'd never sold Lukaku. He was my favourite player when we did. Hated it. I'd have him back.
Lukaku was a disgrace in his second season he should never have got into the condition he did.
1 run and he was blowing takes a lot of energy to move a frame that big and it was his decision to “bulk up” not the clubs.
Ah the old believe everything you read ....
Yeah always dangerous to do when it was Lukaku in an interview telling the story halfway through the season.
Romelu Lukaku: bulking up for World Cup has hampered my club form
Romelu Lukaku says his form for Manchester United has been affected by having to lose muscle mass he put on playing for Belgium in the World Cupwww.theguardian.com
He admits he put the extra muscle on for the world cup then had to try and get it off for the new season at Utd.
you could see watching him that he wasn’t in good shape and Utd as the club paying his wages should have been telling him adding more bulk was a bad idea.
That story has been twisted to feck, it was media driven and a lot of our fans fell for it, he had a great first season and he wanted to get quicker and stronger, what's the harm in that?
Twisted? it was him admitting that he’d put weight on and needed to get it off. He tells the story in his own words.
That along with being knackered after the World Cup and an injury meant he was well off it in his second season. He actually finished the season ok from memory.
He didn’t need to get quicker or stronger he was already very quick and very strong what he needed was endurance to last the full 90 minutes in games rather than fade. There’s a reason why the first thing inter did with him was get him to cut down his size and make him way more lean.
I saw him live in both seasons he was noticeably bigger in his second season than the first.
The fact that Lukaku has bounced around clubs for the last 6-7 years speaks volumes really. He looks very good on paper with his goal output but in reality he does stunt attacking play and therefore he’s not really that desirable.
I was excited when we first bought him because he guaranteed goals but by the end I was ready to drive him anywhere just to see him off our books.
Well, we really are short of goals. He's a seasoned pro and would be the best option from Chelsea. He wouldn't be my personal pick if I could choose anyone though. You know it’s bad when Lukaku is suggested as the answer to our problems!
Would be Cole Palmer.Well, we really are short of goals. He's a seasoned pro and would be the best option from Chelsea. He wouldn't be my personal pick if I could choose anyone though.
I was only considering realistic options.Would be Cole Palmer.
It was said with tongue firmly in cheek.I was only considering realistic options.
I'd agree with what you're saying/getting at - he is their best player by a million miles.
I think the idea is Chelsea would have to pay the bulk of his wages if they even want us to consider this move. If they're willing to do that then I don't see the harm in taking a punt. Sancho is clearly going to be 100% pointless under ETH. So unless we can get actual cash for our player, this seems like a decent option.
Didn't know he's a fan. That is a plus as far as I'm concerned. Makes me actually like him a bit too.
Probably something like that, but the mirror are reporting we are not willing to do it unless it suits us. That may mean we get a much better deal than them. How that works out, I do not know.I think both clubs will be giving their current player a pay off to leave and take a reduced wage on the contract at the next club for this to work.
