Starts this week.

I was surprised Rose wasn't a pick, he normally turns up in the big tournaments and his record is decent.

On paper, the European team looks weak to me.

I am surprised at Rose not being in. A quick look at the rankings of each side:

USA:

2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 16th, 21st

Europe:

1st, 14th, 15th, 19th, 24th, 27th, 34th, 37th, 42nd, 43rd, 50th, 63rd

On paper they really should destroy us. But we know with team USA they have a tendency for internal trouble. We know we've got players who step up and play above their mark at the Ryder Cup. If it goes to form they're going to really hammer us. It's in America and the away team rarely wins and they've got the better players.

I'm surprised we are only 2/1.

I would have liked to have seen Robert MacIntyre get a go. 12th at The Masters and 8th at The Open. Thought it may be enough of a good year to see him in.

Justin Thomas & Jordan Spieth vs Jon Rahm & Sergio Garcia
Dustin Johnson & Collin Morikawa vs Paul Casey & Viktor Hovland
Brooks Koepka & Daniel Berger vs Lee Westwood & Matt Fitzpatrick
Xander Schauffele & Patrick Cantlay vs Rory McIlroy & Ian Poulter

I've got this going 2.5 - 1.5 to America.

Spieth and Thomas is a strong pairing, especially as Sergio isn't the best putter, and can be off with the driver.

DJ and Morikawa looks strong too.

I'm going 2-2 or 3-1 for the USA for the morning session.

Europe 4-0 down after 4 in the game I thought we'd win. Disastrous start.

I must say I wasn't sure about that pairing, I would have taken Rose above Poulter.

So it's 11-5 entering the singles. Europe need another miracle.

The Miracle as Medinah was 10-6 at this stage. Though was 10-4 at one stage. There is almost no hope going in to today and if Europe can even make it competitive we are going to have a great day. But could all be done after 4 games.

absolutely battered, never looked even close.

That course looked really nice though. Love to play that.
