I'd say that's more like Class A talking.Bit early to be drinking isn’t it @Mr C?
It’s actually quite sad to see because from his first couple of games where things looked brilliant - thinking of his goals against Arsenal and City - he has just nose dived into mediocrity.I actually think he's got the skill set to do it but the big challenge would be convincing him to do it.
The other issue that doesn't really get mentioned with Antony is his fitness he has missed a lot of games in the last 18 months. Some of it was time off to sort his off field issues out back in Brazil but there's a lot of games where he just isn't part of the squad.
He just looks like someone who's head has completely gone and needs to get out of Utd ASAP to salvage his career as it's never going to come good here for him.

New managers can sometimes get a new tune out of players, so all hope isn’t lost I would suggest. However would be shocked if he’s still a United player in 12 months.
You could be right. He has the tackling ability and has the ball control too. There are players who need an arm around their shoulders and Antony could be one of them. Yes Amorim will speak to him in his own language and also surely someone who can shoot that well with their left foot can also put in a cross?I actually think he's got the skill set to do it but the big challenge would be convincing him to do it.

It is not the conversion rate that you need as a wing back. It is his crossing ability. He can shoot well but he does not hit the target or is too easy for the keeper to save. Salah is a good striker and not strictly a winger. All Antony needs is to put in a good cross as a wingback. His shooting is poor.
His accuracy is 51% but his conversion rate is 4%
Compare that to the best winger in the league Salah accuracy 59% conversion 17%.
They are worlds apart Salah scores 1 in 5 Antony is 1 in 20.
A conversion rate of 4% is quite honestly pathetic.

He does shoot well. It ends up in the keeper's hand most of the time. He played well for AjaxYou said if he can shoot that well with his left foot surely he can cross.
I said he can’t shoot well with his left foot just used Salah as my benchmark for the comparison.
They’re also very different skills.

Welcome.Hi, just joined the chat. What do you think of this new song for Amorim, it’s a twist on the song Amore by Dean Martin :
“When the sun seems to shine like you’ve had too much wine that’s Amorim, when the sun seems to shine like you’ve had too much wine that’s Amorim……”
I’m just saying what I’ve seen so far. I may not watch as much as you all do but I’ve seen a good amount of United this season. Zirkzee just looks awful. There’s been nothing (the goal on his debut apart) that has suggested he can be a top player in the PL. He’s fairly big but doesn’t use his size. He’s not fast. His touch isn’t great and his passing is worse. I just don’t see a player there who’s going to turn it around.Don’t sit on the fence mate, tell us what you really feel about him ....
At least you’ve admitted he needs time.

Yeah loved the fact he threw himself right into the middle of those player celebrations too^ Just look at those players they love Amorim, that’s what you call a special relationship.
