I also agree, Federer was by far the tennis player I enjoyed watching the most, all the way back to the Borg days. Although Diadora Borg were the best trainers :D
Federers backhand is one of the finest things to watch in sport.

He was one of those rare athletes who even a casual fan could recognise as being miles better than everyone else.

He made the game look easy almost effortless and his opponent had to not only be brilliant but also be prepared to work insanely hard just to stand a chance of beating him.

A level above anyone else and I include Djokovic and Nadal in that statement. Just an absolute joy to watch in his pomp and a real nice guy of sport as well.
