Died today aged 77

seems young.

The voice of football for most of us I guess.

Really sad news. RIP Motty.

Definitely the voice of football from my childhood. Especially on MOTD and FA Cup games on the BBC before I had Sky.

Always think of him for England games.

Motty on the BBC and Clive Tyldesley on ITV.

Certainly an iconic person in football history in England the famous coat that became his trademark.

Yup, nobody did it better in my mind. I even went out and bought a look alike sheepskin coat. RIP Motty.
