Napoli is apparently interested in signing Hojlund.

Probably a decent move for him going back to Italy as not sure he's ready for the Premier League yet.

Depends what Napoli are willing to spend as for all the PSR stuff Utd probably need about £50m to break even.

I read Everton are looking at targeting him as their marquee signing for opening the new stadium.

I mean if you were an Everton fan you'd be pretty gutted with him as your big marquee signing.

I've been quite critical of him lately, but I'm still of the opinion he's a good player. The problem with him is, he's probably the most confidence based striker I've ever seen play, at least in recent memory. The player has been carrying our front-line on his back for quite some time now. I'd love to see us buy an experienced striker and have both him and Zirkzee allowed time and chances to show what they have under a positive footballing style - in other words a working system and clued up manager. Neither have had that chance quite yet. We're getting close to being able to see them have that with Amorim.

It can't hurt to keep him and try one more time to bed him into the league properly.

We did a bith of a Real Madrid. We bought a player with potential and burdened him with far too much pressure far too quickly.

His strengths suit our league - speed and finishing. If he can learn to use them properly he can be devastating, but not without patience and guidance.

I don't think it was a coincedence that after he had a little a break [pressure completely removed] he comes in and gets an assist and a goal. it can mean everything for young players. Sometimes you learn more watching than playing.

Must admit I've lost faith in the second season he just hasn't kicked on at all. Yes there are issues with the supply but there's also issues with his game.

I just don't think he's ready for the job yet and I don't really see him reaching a point where he is ready at Utd we can't wait forever and the pressure on the Utd number 9 is huge.

That said because of all the PSR stuff we are likely stuck with him so I wouldn't be against bringing in a cheap more experienced striker to compete with him next season and share a bit of the burden as Zirkzee isn't really that guy.

If there's no European football and as a result a smaller budget they might have to keep going with Hojlund and back him up with Obi next season which doesn't sounds great.

I still have a lot of faith in him I don't expect anyone to score in a team that can't create chances. He's the least of our issues.

That's changing. We created plenty of chances against Arsenal, Sociedad and Leicester.
And in the two of those games he started he got an assist in one and a goal in the other.

If we start playing better in the earlier two thirds of the pitch and the strikers have more opportunity to be involved hell do just fine.

We know he can finish and the ability is in there. Just about getting him confident and creating him a good chance or two a game. The goals will come.

I think he'll please a lot of us when the time comes and things are in place.

Amorim did say they've done work on how to try provide him with some better service.

I think there's flashes that him and Garnacho are starting to get on the same page as well think having Garnacho play off the right will help Hojlund as he isn't just looking to cut inside.

Do need to see how he does up against better defenders to say if he's really turned a corner.

I just don't see him as a player who makes things happen he waits for things to happen.

I have no faith he'll ever be top drawer. He just doesn't seem to have the instinct.
If somebody want to buy him, we should definitely sell.
