Yep it’s getting harder and harder seeing him coming out of this rut.

Looks like a lad who needs a move.

Controversial one. But I'd be looking to move him on loan to Leeds (assuming promotion) or Everton.

Both lacking a decent striker and will need to invest this summer. And we need him to adapt to the prem. His europa league record with us is very good. (10 in 16 vs 13 in 56). But they also keep him close to the area so he can adjust off the pitch.

In my opinion he needs moving on permanently so we can get some money in.
Don't think he's ever going to be good enough for where we want to get to

I think we need to just make a call and back it.

I don’t really see a loan move working as I don’t think 12 months sorts him.

Needs to go to a weaker league for a 1-2 years and develop his all round game.

He’s not a good enough scorer to just be that type of striker.

I think the club will be reluctant to sell because of PSR rules unless they receive a transfer fee that will give a book value of zero. It would hurt the club in the long term.

Not totally sure how the PSR works when you sell a player.

I assume if we sell him this summer then the remaining 3 years all hit at once rather than being split over the 3 years that were left on his deal. That’s offset by the sale income which hits all at once. So you take all the remaining pain and gain in 1 financial year.

This summer Utd will still owe £38m for PSR so that’s a tough number to break even on.

Utd may be hoping that a club like Sporting use the sale of gyokeres and spend some of that money on Hojlund and see him as a player they can rehab.

summer 2026 we will only need £26m so it may be that he’s out on loan with an option to buy at say £30m. Getting an obligation to buy will be tough as his reputation right now is so low.

That still means next season Utd are carrying £12m on our books for a player who’s out on loan.

Utd have got to learn from these poor deals and walk away when the price starts shooting up well above your valuation.

It’s such a double edged sword this one. United don’t tend to create a lot of chances but at the same time his movement doesn’t seem great and his all around play is pretty poor. A loan next year would make a lot of sense I think.

Was a 6/10 performance.

Did a lot of selfless tasks to help others get chances and those favours were not returned.
