Poor again.

Sniffed his goal out but after that anonymous again.

It’s his 2nd season expectations have to be there it’s Man Utd.

You have to deal with it and rise to it or the club will have to find someone who can.

He’s trying but at the moment he’s looking a long way off the finished product.

He's got a strange habit of getting his timing into the box completely wrong, I think there's a good player in there though.

If Amorin can't get him to improve during the rest of the season, he needs to go. He can finish, but needs to massively improve everything else. Feels like he's costing us atm.

17 appearances 7 goals

5 in Europe 2 in the league.

Very good tonight but my worry would be is this his level?

His finishing is lethal.

Whilst factual a little harsh. It's 7 goals in 954 minutes. So a little over 10 games.

He's returning from an unfortunate injury. Is in a brand new system. Has two wingers that don't know when to play the ball and dally on it too long and Bruno who wants to hit everything early. It's a bi-polar system/team for a striker. You don't know if you're coming or going.

The lad can definitely finish and he does seem to be getting more chances now. Still needs to sharpen up on others areas of his game but get him a chance on the box then I’m pretty confident he’ll bury a lot of them.

I can see why Amorim is rotating but I think he will be benefit from a good run of games now.

Not the easiest game to judge him on because him and Haaland both didn’t really have that service behind them. Overall though I think he held the ball up well at times and put himself about.

Excellent trolling of Walker on Instagram with that Oscar comment.

I'm not sure about hs hold up play, this stcking your arse in the opponants groin business isn't really good enough.

But great ball for Bruno, didn't have many chances.

Love the trolling

This thread just got dark real quick!

That performance was way short of the required level for a United striker. He looses too many duels and struggles to link play.

He is young and learnin’ but United need a ready made striker now. Can the club sign one in January or will they need to wait until the summer?

Tough gig against two big centre backs but he was poor. He was unable to hold up play and should scored or done better for the opportunity in the first half. His off the ball movement needs to better, he doesn’t make the runs a natural goal scorer.

Looked fatigued from the start, not once did he get in front of the defender anticipating a ball into the box.
Iv backed him before to come good but he wears your patience.

Too raw to be a week in week out striker for us. We really need another guy in to lessen the load.

When he gets into position he’s actually a really good finisher, however all other areas of his game needs tightening up.

He’s not a lost cause by any stretch.

The more I see of him the more I dislike his play. That's where I am at with him. General play is just so bad.

Think he’s made the big jump to soon.

Should be a lesson to Utd throwing teenagers into the side at the moment isn’t the way forward.

He looks like he’d benefit massively from a year out on loan somewhere in an easier league and a more dominant side.

He doesn't have that natural instinct to be in the right place, make the right runs.

Falling to the ground too easily and probably needs to go out on loan to a Championship side for a season.

Let's put this into context. He is the same age as Liam Delap, who is leading the line brilliantly for Ipswich.

The pressure is totally different though and Delap has been playing at a lower level learning the game before coming up to the Premier League. The focus on him is nowhere near as intense as it is on Hojlund.

He's very suited to the premier league style Delap he's a big strong boy and he's always used that as part of his game. Will be interesting to see if he can carry it on into the second half of the season now that teams know a bit about him will they work out how to stop him.

Hojlund despite being a big lad just isn't a hold up player he's a very good finisher but really he's about running in behind facing goal rather than playing back to goal.

Hojlund to me just looks like he's stalled he still looks the same player he did when he joined. The work rate and effort is there but he needs to start showing learning how to be a much more rounded centre forward otherwise Utd are going to have to move on from him.

Put one on a plate for Garnacho when he got a chance to run in behind.

Back to goal he is well short of the level.

I think the manager is starting to lose a bit of patience with him

I don't think he'll start the next game.
Not sure what we can blame him for. The 9 outfield guys behind him not turning up for 70 minutes until Amad decided to take control of the game himself and move out of position?
