Well in todays huge shock turns out PSG have sacked Poch and appointed Christophe Galtier to replace him.

Galtier joins from Nice having only joined them last summer the season before he was in charge at Lille who beat PSG to the French title.

Leonardo was also sacked as Sporting Director this summer and was replaced by Luis Campos who worked with Galtier at Lille and previously at Monaco. He oversaw the construction of the two squads that have beaten PSG to the title over the last decade so you could argue this is a clever appointment.

The chairman has suggested he wants to bring an end to the bling bling era of PSG and wants the club to focus on securing the best young French players and young players from the rest of the world.

The big talk seems to be the club would be willing to listen to offers for Neymar they'd quite happily move him on this summer but he's only just been given a new deal which had an extension clause that activated this summer to extend it to 2027. He's on 30m a year, has just turned 30 and his injury record in recent seasons is worrying so not going to be a lot of takers for this guy.

what is it with footballers, absolute bell ends. he should be dropped, had he kept on running he would have scored.

Was he injured or anything?

If not then that's disgraceful. Even if you don't get the ball you drag another man away to make it easier for the team.

I don’t believe he was injured just throwing a wobbler.

Sums up modern football really. Obviously not all players but so many have egos and get stroppy when things don’t go their way. Disgraceful from Mbappe.

Simply astonished at that, and at a Gazillion euros per week as well.

4-0 up away to Lille at half time.

Really not good for the league though Lille are meant to be one of the stronger sides in that league although they've been stripped of their best players in the last 2 summers. PSG signed one of their better players just for the squad which kind of shows the power they have over that league now.

Yep and it's currently a big topic about should they change the rules and allow investors to buy clubs to try and make the league more competitive as under the current 50+1 model Bayern are pretty much guaranteed domination unless they make an almighty balls up.

Premier League isn't miles from this problem Liverpool are having to put up crazy points totals just to keep pace with City who are regularly hitting 90+ season after season.

football as we knew it is long gone and unfortunately unless we find a billionare owner who will spend, we will lose touch.

I don't think it's quite that critical for us we just need owners who actually want to win the club generates enough of it's own revenue to compete it just needs to be well run.

I think PSG are still destined for implosion and the real thing for them will be how much will Qatar want to keep pumping into this project after the world cup in December. After that football will disappear from Qatar again and their focus will go back to being an economic and tourist hub.

Saudi seem to be the ones who are going to snap up the sports side of things they've now attracted F1, Boxing, Golf and got their hands on a Premier League club. Qatar won't be able to compete with that so how long will they continue pumping fortunes into PSG.

He really does come across as a top class bell end.

I do think he's right PSG need to get rid of Messi and Neymar and get some younger talent around him.

You watch them play though and Mbappe has lost some of what made him great he's gone from a real team player to someone who refuses to pass the ball, he's like the best kid of the play ground trying to beat everyone on his own.

Neymar out for the rest of the season.

Like clockwork as soon the CL knockout/his sisters birthday comes around the guy gets injured.

Probably does PSG a massive favour as it's one less show pony to carry up front means it's just Messi/Mbappe doing zero defending in the line up now.

Out in the last 16 again.

All that money spent and only twice in the last 7 years have they made it to the quarter final stage.

the same policy united have used these last years, just buy big names on big salaries with no real plan

You have to question do we really want Qatar calling the shots at Utd?

PSG have started to change things using a lot more of their academy players but until they get Neymar out their knackered by FFP and he's going nowhere.

We are a very different club to PSG. They wanted to quickly build the stature of PSG and attempted to do this by flexing their muscles with galactico type signings. Look at how the Saudis have so far managed their spending at Newcastle, very conservative compared to others, including us. The Qataris are not stupid, they would own one of the biggest clubs in the world, see the current progress being made by EtH, and would want to avoid the mistakes of the annual comedy circus that is PSG.

I would probably take anyone over the Glazers, and worry about it after

Messi suspended by the club for 2 weeks without pay.

Skipped training to travel to Saudi Arabia to do some promotional work.

Just a reminder that this guy is just as big a tit as Ronaldo.

Galtier sacked just days after winning the league.

Nagglesmann on the way to take over.
