Premier League 2024/25: West Ham vs Man United - Sun 27 Oct - 14:00 KO

Manager killer. Should be at least 5 points better off if the players could finish. Hard to see Ten Hag surviving for much longer.

Yeah, 14th, they've got to pull the trigger.

Second half we were poor

How far down the league do we actually have to fall before somebody amongst our hugely expensive interstellar backroom staff actually looks and thinks 'Things aren't working here'.?

A better argument would be the table says west ham are better than us

Sad times

A better argument would be for them not to post such drivel. Hey ho.

Finishing cost us dearly yet again. But like usual with this fan base they can't grasp the manager doesn't finish off chances for the players and are just result oriented.

If I knew we needed a striker, he should have known.
No excuses

I've never wanted manager sacked.

But I hate ETH, I hate what he's done to our club.

After finishing 8th, we start the next season with 3 wins out of 9. Lie in 14th position, have no wins in Europe, with a very expensive squad of his picking.

Yet I am meant to think he's a good manager, and it's not his fault. And because I don't think, I am the one who's not a fan. It's the people who think that's a good return are the fans.

How has he managed to bamboozle people like that.

No way any half decent club put up with that

Didn’t see it.

Sounded like we battered them didn’t take our chances then paid the price second half.

I’m told some of the misses were horrors.

That’s probably him done but the players cannot escape criticism. They’ve cost us more points in the league than the manager has and that’s a fact.

Dalot was a sitter, garnacho half decent chance.

West ham changed it second half, we didn't respond and they were better.

God awful pen decision, I think the worst VAR I have seen, and that's saying something

Worse than the Bruno one?

Feels like we’ve had two absolute shockers this season

This is my big issue. Changing the manager doesn't stop our players missing chance after chance. I dont get how people don't see that.

I just wish people would watch the game on its merits and not just use the result to decide its the manager that's the issue.

We played well. Should have won the game 4/5 nil. Nothing ETH can do about hitting the woodwork and getting shocking decisions go against you

Still needs to be sacked, he is way out of his depth and we're lucky that Leicester lost to Forest or would be 15th. Yes I will admit that penalty decision was an absolute disgrace.

I agree they shouldn't escape criticism, however you can't sell half the team in middle of season

Has confidence become a factor or are we just saying these players are not good finishers?

It does eventually fall on the manager when players don’t perform and it feels like his course is run.

There is also the issue that he’s very slow to react to a change by the opposition tactically to then cause them a different problem.

Again I haven’t seen any of this game but it sounds like the same old story.

I get that view re the game and misses, but west ham changed it at half time, got on top and he didn't respond.
It's also a squad of his players. He could have bought a striker
It's the second awful season now, he's had his chance, we can't just carry on.

He isn’t in charge of the signings anymore so that just doesn’t fall at his door anymore.

The comments that have come out about him wanting to keep Amrabat and not sell McT tell you he is no longer calling the shots.

We needed a striker to replace Martial and the club have decided on Zirkzee. So far that looks a very poor choice.

That takes care of this season, if that's true, which I doubt.
He might not be in control of who gets sold when they need money. But he'll get sign off of who comes in.
Coincidence Zirkzee is another Dutch player...

Well all the reporting is INEOS have taken control of the signings was likely part of the reason they gave him that new deal to remove the veto.

The summers before are on him but also the club as he should never have had that responsibility.

You don't know that, i read they come to him with a list, and he picks. David was on that list

The other thing about this team

We're losing our shit our RB missed a sitter. How many chances did we create for Hojlund?

Yet they didn't.

Perhaps we should create chances for our no. 10. Not our lb

Oh come on. You're putting that chance away.

You don't need to be a #10 to put that chance away.

I guess at the end of the day it’s a results and a manager lives and dies by them. This could be the final nail but he could be given a little longer, I guess time will tell!

As for today, we should have won the match but ultimately we didn’t. There are no trophies at the end of the season for playing well - it’s about putting the ball in the net.

I just don't see how they can sack him yet. They've backed him too much.

I honestly think they need to though

I didn’t see one story all summer linking us with David.

The decision on Zirkzee seemed to be made to exploit a low buyout clause. His confidence looks drained.

INEOS seemed pretty Amad at that they were taking a lot of that responsibility away from the manager. Doesn’t mean he gets zero say just not the final say

I am in the minority here but I know some fans who agree with me. Bruno should never have got his contract extended. Now individually he is a brilliant player but he does not know how to play with a CF. Neither is he disciplined enough. Now ETH might have given him the freedom to do whatever he wants. yes we missed sitters today but we should have started with Cas and Ugarte with Eriksen.

Seems strange to dig Bruno out in a game where he’s created 2 or 3 chances that others have missed.

Guy should have walked away with a couple of assist and the man of the match performance but because others missed chances he's the issue. Make it make sense.

The players carry the can for the first half, the manager (and VAR) for the second. I detest Michael Oliver.

There were loads of reports on it, apparently they went for Zirkzee because they wanted more than goals. Yet they've ended up with neither goals or assists. Although he might get an assist for today even though his shot was going miles wide.

I've watched David, he takes up really good positions, he would have been a good buy, especially 10m less than Zirkzee.
