Both teams having a rotten old season so how this game will go is anyone’s guess!

I’d like to see:

Onana
Mazraoui De Ligt Yoro
Amad Ugarte Fernandes Dorgu
Mainoo Garnacho
Zirkzee
I'd like to see

Bayindir

Dalot De Ligt Yoro Durgu

Mainoo Ugarte

Amad Bruno Garnacho

Hojlund.

Actually play some attacking football.

Let's get 4 attacking minded positions going and remember we aren't a Portuguese side or a relegation fighting team.

I think I’d just like an afternoon where I don’t see Dalot in a Utd shirt but feel like that’s asking a lot.

Spurs will be in our faces and we owe these a good beating and they are there to be got at.

Annoyingly think their defenders are starting to get fit again.

Onana

Maz De Ligt Yoro

Dalot Ugarte Bruno Dorgu

Amad Zirkzee Garnacho

Look to break on them I reckon is the plan try and get into Zirkzee to feed the two wide players in the gaps Spurs leave.

Villa stifled them with the high press, making it very difficult to get out of their own half, we don't or can't do that, so I can see us dropping points against them.

Maddison, Udogie and Vicario are back for Spurs.

No Romero, Dragusin, Van De Ven, Solanke or Richarlison

No Utd updates yet.

Amorim hinted there's been a few issues this week in training with injuries but didn't reveal who had the issues.

Apparently Chido Obi has been training with them

He suggested a couple of academy players came in to make up the numbers.

He also sort of suggested they wouldn’t be involved in the squad.

Reports Mainoo, Ugarte and Collyer all out.

Jack Moorhouse to travel with the first team.

Spurs could do their first League double over us sine the 1989/90 season.
Latest news is there is nothing concrete on the team news

When was the last time we had some positive news? It’s feels like it was a very long time ago.

Casemiro and Bruno as the midfield two?

Zirkzee as number 10?

It’s not even game day and I’m already depressed by the thought of watching us!

Pretty reliable academy source.

These injuries are so frustrating but if it means a couple of younger guys impress and forges their way into the first team then it may not be all bad.

As Fergie says 'It's Spurs' they'll screw themselves up.

Be exciting to see us forced to use a few of the youngsters.

The record against Spurs isn’t great these days. They’ve beaten us twice this season.

We are so far past being able to rely on Spurs being Spurs.

The big names are really going to have to show up for us in this one to get a win.

Good job people haven't already given up after 3 months... oh wait.

4-2-3-1.... OMG.

Definitely a case of all hands on deck

He could just be taking them to get them into the feel of the first team, something Ferguson used to do as well.
Ugarte is on a late fitness test, Mainoo, Bayinder, Amad and Heaton are all out.
We are still left with a reasonable starting eleven, we just can't afford to pick up any more injuries in the this game.

What do you think the starting XI will be if Ugarte doesn’t make it? It is real slim pickings and starting Casemiro and Eriksen isn’t an option for me!

With Collyer out, we have to go with Casemiro, or put Lindlehof in there.
This may just be the straw that breaks the 3-4-3 back

Probably more likely to Maz if we going to put a defender in the midfield I would say.

Or just say screw it and put Moorhouse in there, this season is a write off so why not try a very talented youngster in there. LVG was basically forced to put Rashford in there and that worked wonders.

I totally agree, I come from the Busby and Ferguson school, if you are good enough, you are old enough, we can do that for the rest of the season, barring Leicester and Ipswich going on an unprecedented winning streak we are safe from the drop, so lets see what the youngsters can do, Class of 25 anyone! ?

Are they good enough though?

The class of 92 came through because in training they started giving the first team players a run for their money. Are this lot forcing their way in or are they getting a chance because there’s no one else.

Rashford got his chance due to an injury crisis and he never looked back.

As for today I guess we start Casemiro with Bruno in midfield. We might have to start Eriksen in the front 3.

I’d be looking for Garnacho to be sitting in that pocket behind Porro and trying to get Hojlund in that channel too. For me that’s where the game can be won for us we have to play on the break.

Onana

Yoro De Ligt Maguire

Dalot Casemiro Bruno Dorgu

Eriksen Hojlund Garnacho

Who else have we got?

Could start Zirkzee but he doesn’t play well as a 10.

Maz as a 10 again :D
Iv been saying for ages how poor our squad is I’m just pointing out how bad the situation is, starting Eriksen is a measure of how bad things are.
I’d play a youngster before Eriksen at least the kid will give a shit.

Yeah, because Hojlund is great at off the ball movement and clever runs.... ;/

Come on, what dream world are you living in?

Hojlund is a terrible striker lacking confidence and what needs to happen is him being dropped and replaced as soon as possible. I'm sick of the sight of him running around like a lost sheep giving the ball away.

Living in the real world pal.

The one where we’ve basically got him or a guy who doesn’t do any running in behind. We’ve got two crap options to play up top got to pick one of them to start.

The best version of Hojlund is still a decent striker not the level we need but decent enough.

Amorim has had a week to tell him where to run ;)

You either have the footballing brain to know where to run or you don't. The evidence is obvious. Holjlund can never be a world class striker. You can see him thinking about things far too much and the best players don't think, they do. It's called natural ability, and unfortunately Hojlund doesn't have any when it comes to creativity and forward thinking.

It won't matter what Amorim has told him.
