Premier League 2024/25: Man United vs Spurs - Sun 29th Sept - 16:30 KO

Not able to watch fully but based on the bits I’ve seen Spurs are smashing us man for man all over the pitch.

Bruno harshly sent off.

Standard of refs in this country has never been lower.

As shocking as we were in that first half we did have a couple of good chances to equalise.

It’s no surprise we have shockers because this team is inconsistent but still had faith we could come back into it - that red card has dented that faith somewhat!

The red is 50/50 I think, I can see why he gave it. But the two bookings after are a bit of a joke.

Harsh red, but you can't say it's wrong.

Been a woeful first half. It looks like this project under this coach is done. No way Spurs have a better squad than us.

Big half coming up where the manager needs to show he's got something

Just don’t get battered now.

Dig in and show some pride maybe Nick one back and they get nervous.

Sadly the opposite will happen we are going down by 4 or 5 here.

I’ve turned it off

Deer in headlight stuff in the first half. The ball retention/passing was shockingly bad.

I wonder if Dan Asworth asks ETH why is he playing still with a single pivot and a one man DM while he has two midfield players of one is so slow while the other can't keep possession for his life.

I think at this stage they are feeding him the rope he’s hanging his self with.

I suspect that would be Jason Wilcox remit as technical director and not Dan Ashworth.

I'm not sure it's the midfield positions that are causing these problems it's forwards who turn over the ball to easily and full backs that are way to high up the pitch when it happens. We are so vulnerable to counter attacks when we lose the ball players are so far out of their defensive positions it's almost impossible for them to recover.

I do think the lack of physical presence in midfield is an issue there's no real running power in there to help deal with counter attacks and physical competition in midfield.

The midfield signings over the last 3 summers has been all over the place we've spent over £150m on 3 players and not fixed any of the problems we had under Ole/Rangnick.

The problems are all over, we cannot complete the most simple of passes even over a small distance, and we cannot play out, the only player competant enough under pressure with the ball is the keeper.
