4th win in a row in all competitions or another depressing anti-climax? Let’s hope the former!

Palace have been a tricky opponent for us in recent years.

Think their defence has taken a bit of a hammering in last few weeks one guy was ruled out for the rest of the season with an injury and Chelsea recalled Chalobah which has caused their run of good form to wobble a bit but they've pulled away from the relegation spots.

Never nice when a former Utd keeper turns up as you know he'll be at his best and they'll certainly carry a threat on the break.

We battered these for 45 minutes earlier in the season then ended up almost clinging on for 0-0.

As always it's hard to see where the goals come from for us.

Won’t be knocking any long balls up to that front three unless Mainoo has grown a foot taller in the last few days.

Not a bad idea against a back 3

Gives their centre backs no one to really focus on.

Need those 3 up front to move it quickly to create some chances

Sounds like we started well but faded and let Palace dictate play. Same old really.

Glazernomics will take years to purge from the system after they finally leave. We might actually need to get relegated to force them to sell up.

Are we going to hold Amorim (somewhat) accountable for this mess yet? Yes, we've years worth of issues, yes, we've a squad riddled with overpaid, underperforming rubbish but this is a team coached in which the tactic is, simply, rubbish, we have kept two clean sheets domestically since he arrived and really, there are no improvements, the tactic still looks alien, there is no real sign that anyone is taking to the preferred style.

What I don't understand is the frequent long balls out of defence giving away possession. Amorim didn't do this at sporting.
I felt our forwards held on to the ball better without Zirkzee and Hojlund on.

I know we need a striker desperately, but the GK needs changing too

You just have to hope that the players coming in can improve it as we’ve seen enough to know this lot can’t play the way the manager wants to and get results.

Haven’t seen any of it but another home game where we’ve failed to score.

This is what i meant Thursday night when I said the Europa League is a different beast and we've always looked better attacking wise.

It's on Amorim we are playing this badly. That's 3 shots on target on 180 PL minutes.

Looks really bad for Martinez and that display was abysmal so many average players in there with little to offer and when Amad has an off day like he did it leaves little else to rely on. Maz, Maguire and Dalot particularly bad today.

We need to find somebody who can put a half decent free kick and corner in.
Because currently we know they will come to nothing

It's insanity to keep blaming the coach time after time. If we keep buying inadequate players then switching the system every two years we will end up drifting down the table. This is and always has been the fault of the Glazers for mismanaging the club while draining it of money at the same time. Now FFP has made it impossible to buy our way back to success so we will have to go the long way round.

Unfortunately the Glazers are still here.

Just seen the short highlights.

Looks like we created a couple of half chances but nothing where you’d say he’s got to score. That’s worrying as it’s a real pattern no matter how he arranges them these players struggle to create good chances in premier league games.

Keepers are leaving old Trafford with clean sheets having barely had to lift a finger.

Their first goal is a bit of a lucky break but on any set piece if you don’t get the first contact you are in trouble.

Second great run from deep by Munoz Maguire probably shouldn’t be trying to play offside just sprint back.

The real problem is the amount of possession we give away from our defenders and keeper

Just watched extended highlights
Both goals were preventable, lack of organisation in the back line, mis-communication call it what you like, what I hate however is that you see other keepers saving chances like that, but ours, you know it's going to hit the back of the net. Defence was meh.
Our attack is toothless.
My feeling is he should look at the academy, use players from there and drop some of these underperforming pre-maddonnas

Is it me or do we always seem to bottle it after a win in Europe?

To be fair to the keeper yesterday he made a good save one vs one to keep in at 0-0.

Not sure there was much he could do on either goal to be honest.

The worry is how easy was it for Henderson to get his clean sheet yesterday we hardly tested him at all.

On the return from Europe think the reality is the teams we face in the premier league are much better than the sides we play in Europe and we make hard work on beating some of them. I actually think the quality in the Europa League this season is lower than previous seasons.

This is the worst group of players in terms of quality we've had post Fergie we are very reliant on kids performing and we all know kids will be unreliable as that's just how it works.
