Premier League 2024/25: Man United vs Chelsea - Sun 3rd Nov - 16:30 KO

Cas had to do his job for him just now. Garnacho may lose his place next game after this.

A draw is probably fair. A poor game with a lack of quality.

Garnacho does frustrate me sometimes, at the end there he should have just slid it through to Amad but decided to hold onto it.

I think we would have won this game with ETH in charge to be honest.

Ugarte still wouldn't be fit for 5 months under ETH, and he was the one stopping them dominating the centre.

Poor game both teams were bobbins, theres no doubt Amorim has work to do and its needed now.
Chelsea dont have much excuse though with the money spent and that huge squad.

Only saw bits of the game but poor finishing once again costs us.

We are so bad with the ball.

Bruno should have won it for us near the end. Very strange to see him shoot so far off target. SpaceX will be dealing with that ball.

Is it really that strange?

His finishing this season has been poor

He hasn't scored much true, but his shooting is usually at least on target. It was very close range for him too.

In like to see Eriksen play instead of Bruno in this set up occasionally. People complain about Rasmus's hold up play and yet the ball is zipped to him a lot of times or hung up in the air. He is fairly quick and they need to pass to him a bit more earlier. Our first attack where Rashord got the ball in our half and ran away and got a corner. He should have passed it as soon as he crossed the halfway line to Rasmus behind their defence.

19th in chance conversion.

20th in big chances conversion.

We finish 19% of big chances. Let that settle.

Managers fault.

It is the manager's fault when he does not drop these players who can this poor decisions game after game. Berbatov was dropped because he missed a goal against City. I would say it was a brilliant save by Joe Hart.

No one said it was all the managers fault, the players have had plenty of criticism too over a long period on here but you cant change a team overnight when its not working its the manager that goes.

I think players will have less power under Ineos. it will take 2-3 years to get rid of the culprits.

He did keep picking the lads missing the big chances (not that he had much choice).

Anyway no point dwelling on the past the new boss has got to get that attack working as a unit as he needs them to score a lot more goals than Ten Hag managed.

This is where I disagree. I dont see how you can do much more than create chances as a coach in terms of attacking wise.

Today was abysmal. I hope the Ruud love in has now died. But we still created the better opportunities and were let down by poor finishing.

Thought it would be better atmosphere today with Ruud in charge, maybe the fact he’s only there for another week could be the reason.

Bruno and Rashford needs to be rested and let Cas or DeLIgt have the Captaincy. Even Eriksen for the day. Get Garnacho tp play a but closer to Rasmus

It was a nothing match, a bit boring that highlighted the deficiencies in the squad.

Well your also partly responsible for confidence levels and playing players who are clearly low on confidence because they've been missing chances is a gamble. As I said originally he didn't have much choice as the squad isn't particularly deep and injuries have meant when he looked to the bench it was often kids. That's why the Zirkzee deal to me didn't make a lot of sense that squad was crying out for a senior striker not another young talent to nurture.

Yeah I was only half watching it the only big Chelsea chance I recall was the header off the post which I'm fairly certain VAR would have ruled out had it gone in.

Thought our big issue yesterday was Garnacho and Hojlund were just not on the same page so many great counter attacking opportunities broke down because they couldn't connect with each other. Garnacho either ignoring Hojlund or Hojlund not realeasing the ball quick enough to him. Those two have got to work that out because if they do there's goals a plenty for both of them.

For them Caicedo is really starting to look the part but they've got a massive problem with Enzo Fernandez paid all that money for him and he can't get in the team.

So in the grand scheme of things is that a good point at home? Against a team playing well and who have a good record dating back to the final third of last season.

Yes it is. We didn't get dominated or play ping-pong ball. The centre was not a gaping hole of nightmares. We were far from great, but it was a game we could have won, that's a big step forward against the top sides.

Under ETH we would have lost that game in stoppage time or worse.

Ruud is proving this set of players have been victimized under ETH.

I don't think it was a good point, any points dropped from a winning positions can't really be seen as a positive.

I think yesterday proved the gap between us and Chelsea isn't massive but it's all fine margins Utd have not managed to get a narrow wins over the line.

To say we'd have lost that under ETH is ridiculous.

Let’s not overhype Chelsea here, they are still a team in transition and easily got at still. They have played well at times this season but that is very Palmer led.

Ruud hasn’t suddenly changed these players, yesterday was a typical ETH performance, good in patches and distinctly average in others. Let’s not kid ourselves here.

ETH has been sacked, can we acknowledge that? He's a terrible coach who had no clue how to take on the PL.

This is exactly the type of game he would have lost.
