Earlier this season they were being compared to Atletico Madrid and Mourinho sides in a positive way.

They're hard to beat and have a bit of quality in the final third when everyone is fit but you wouldn't call them amazing to watch.

Yes we were bad for 45 but also very good for 45. That’s what an inconsistent team will do. Of course the good 45 has been glossed over in favour of the bad.

It's very obvious Amorim set up the team to nullify Arsenal. They played ok in the first half having a lot of possession but creating nothing from it. The tactics worked perfectly. We took the lead, demoralised them and made it really tough for them on the whole. I don't see how that constitutes a bad half of football in any way.

It would have been stupid to allow them to have the ball and the better defence in that game. Amorim chose to match them defensively by playing the low block, and try and nick a goal or two, and it damn near worked.

Amorim deserves far more respect than he gets. He has a brain, and understands tactics, and has knowledge on the team we're playing, and I don't mean a team sheet and a basic tactic, he understands what they're going to try and do, and what their dangers are, unlike a certain coach I know.

So I'd say we didn't play badly for the first half at all, we did what we were supposed to do.

We were so bad overall we had 2 clear cut chances to Arsenal's 1. They had double the possession we had.

That tells me the tactical battle was won by Amorim.
