Premier League 2024/25: Man City vs Man United - Sun 15th Dec - 16:30 KO

I don't think we were shit.

It might not be what Liverpool and Chelsea are doing. But I don't remember city having a real chance at home. Bruno should have scored before the pen, amad had one tipped around the post.

But we are looking way better than under ETH. The team doesn't look completely clueless in possession. They are actually playing as a team.

It's a shame ETH wasted all the money and it's a poor squad with little hope of changing it.

Yes I know we are miles away from competing but still going to enjoy this result until Thursday

As i said short memories on this forum. We in no way look any better. We missed one chance. That's all we created the entire game.

The penalty came from a mistake and the second goal came from a long ball and a lovely touch but should never have gone in.

But result orientated thinking means that was good.

No way in hell were we anywhere near as good as we were in the FA Cup final. It's complete and utter rubbish to suggest so.

Same as Nou Camp 1999 but I don't think anybody cares. You must be able to enjoy the result.
And you must also be able to be honest when you abused a manager for 12 months and can't fabricate this idea we were good because we stole a result.

I loved the result.

Hate the nonsense on here about us being good today.

Maybe people hungover in happiness with the last few minutes and be honest tomorrow.

Yeah if we hadn't burnt through £600m under Ten Hag then would have funds to get Ruben the players who fit his system like a glove

I guess it’s how you define a good performance. I think we controlled possession really well and didn’t really give them a sniff. City are in poor form but it’s still one of the toughest places to go, so to stay in the game and ultimately snatch a win I would say that comes under the realm of a good performance.

Judging from the highlights we were worth the win.

Didn't look like a great game but we got the points.

You guys must be buzzing after that! What a way to win a Derby game. Amad looks like a real star in the making.

Why keep bringng up one game, where the tactics were devised by Darren Fletcher.

ETH had two and half years, bought loads of terrible players, spent all the money, couldn't get the team to play as a team, took to us our worst finish of a premier league season, into a season where he won 3 games was it? and was 14th. He was not good enough. And played some of the worst football I have seen. It was utter garbage. He miss managed players in the press, I dread to think how he would have handled the Rashford/Garnacho situation.

This team might not be perfect, but they are playing as a team, the possesion stats are better, we aren't playing loads of holywood passes and hoping someone will score a worldy.

He wasn't anywhere near good enough. You need to move on and back the new coach. It's all new, new system. They're doing ok, it's not brilliant. But it wouldn't be with the players we have bought. And I am enjoying watching us, where it was a slog under ETH.

ETH wrote off this season, so it's all about building for next season and hopefuly a European cup. Where ETH also couldn't win a match.

Also, I see the refs/var are still smoking crack.

How was that foul on Hojlund not given.

Surely this is what VAR is meant to be for.

I did not abuse EtH for 12 months, I stuck by him right up until the end when his position became untenable. I never said it was a good performance which is was the reason for the comparison with Nou Camp 99. It was a good performance in relation to our most recent visits where the performances were really embarrassing. It was a cagey affair with one side in a surprising run of bad form against a side trying to build some form and confidence. At the moment we need results, the performances can come later.
