Does it? There are plenty of examples of bosses going into clubs and changing things around pretty quickly. You can’t just be static in your thinking and saying we need to give a manager 3 years regardless. The argument about giving Sir Alex time is a decent argument on paper but it’s an extreme example, if we had given ETH 25 plus years then I doubt he would be anywhere near the success Sir Alex had.I said clear chances. Name one other than the goal. (There wasn't a proper clear chance hence our XG being under one)
Was Sunday good enough?
ETH was the most successful manager United ever had after two seasons. Let's hope Amorim beats it.
Unfortunately you lot will hound him out before he completes his third because you can't grasp its a massive bloody job every time you change manager and system and it takes 3 years.
I will happily drop it if everyone agrees regardless of results he our manager August 2029. Let's back him and support him and let him change everything and realise it takes a lot of time. But I know I'll be here saying the same things in 2 years.
(ETH also didn't ruin another season. When sacked he was 4 points off 4th with the worst xg to goal ratio so the finishing to blame not the tactics and in all competitions. That narrative needs to die. But I see the excuses being built early.)
ETH did a half decent job and got us a couple of trophies but we really didn’t progress as a team in terms of a style and clear identity. If he didn’t win the FA Cup last season it would have gone down as an horrific season!
I would like to point out again I gave ETH so much time and leeway but come on, it was time to go. I highly doubt he would have ever led us back to where we wanted to be regardless of time given.
I totally zone out when xg is brought into an argument, I don’t need stats to tell me what my eyes can see!
