You've logged in and posted just to bash Rashford. Great stuff.
No I didn't log on to bash rashford. I'd rather be praising him for a great goal and performance but I still believe he went down far too easily and that allowed city to get the break on us

Someone just said it's the first time since 2014 united have lost in the prem after leading at HT
ETH loves creating records. Bad ones.

Yes you did.

Onana should have saved it I think.

But he had a good game.

Even against city, 26% possession is bad. Can't complain about losing really even though its put me in a terrible mood.

More questions against the players and manager rightly will be asked

RH78 is entitled to log on and express his opinion, just like everyone else. Who are you say to what people can and cannot do.
I didn't tell him he couldn't do anything. Can you read? There is nowhere I tell him "he cannot" - you damn drama queen.

I'm entitled to tell him what I think of his opinion.

Simple.

Just went back through city's games, got bored after I did dec.
Only Sheffield United haved ceded more possession to City in the prem since 1st dec

Some terrible mods on this place. Starting to see why it's so empty.

You’re entitled to criticise his opinion, but you didn’t, you criticised him.

Simple.
Seriously, what?

I didn't say a word about his character. I have no idea who he is or what he is like. I was implying he's doing the same as the rest of UTD fans and blaming Rashford for everything. That's all.

Now leave it there you're making yourself look stupid.

It's no big deal guys. I'm as frustrated as the rest but I'm surely allowed to comment. We're never going to all agree on every player.

Of course you can comment - I was not trying to offend you like Bob is making out. Honestly.

For the first half it really looked like it was going to be one of those days for United. They scored a brilliant goal, they defended nice and compact and they got the luck of City missing chances. And Onana made saves when he was called upon.

But that City machine is relentless and it just wears teams down. They just keep turning up the pressure.

But it’s fine when you do it to ETH and Bruno. So hypocritical.

On ETH, fundamentally the blame does lie with him though. As the manager it must do

Truly hope City get hammered for the 115 charges so we can have the last laugh.

They're too rich to get done for that.

I'd love all their titles to stripped

I give very fair opinions on all three of them. Some may be wrong, some may not. I've given credit to both Bruno and ETH in this very thread. You csan thank me later ;p

You do not - you told me recently Bruno is better than Odegaard. This season, that is crazy.

I don't think any of us are perfect, eh?

Only just watched the game, we did well in the first half but in the end the extra quality told.

I think if we had Hojlund up there we may have made more out of the counter attacks because we did lack composure when we got into good positions - barring the Rashford goal of course.

Think the injury to Evans did us in we had to weaken an already weak side. Maybe without that forced sub we hold on, at that point we were holding City well they weren’t making great chances but eventually they got in and punished us.

The third we’ve just chucked in.

City were able to make a sub that made them stronger as Doku was totally nullified and Alvarez is a top class player who came on and made an almost instant impact. Every sub Ten Hag was forced to make made us weaker.

ETH suggested after the game both Evans and Rashford played with injuries today.

Chemical Jim is supposed to be a United fan, despite the injuries in the squad I imagine he will have watched that and seen now just how far away we are as a top side capable of winning trophies again, theres no getting away from it the end result was pretty inevitable unless you are wearing very strong rose tinted glasses, I hope he`s fuming.

I actually said Odegaard has been the better player this season but Bruno is the better player. Feel free to quote me correctly.

I was just pointing out how hypocritical you are having a go at someone criticising Rashford when you constantly go on about Bruno and ETH.

We aren’t all perfect. Some are more perfect than others though ;)

I think you'll find I've had very little to say about Bruno actually. Certainly more good has been said than bad, and I'm sure if you check my posts that will prove it to you. I like him, always have. I've just been honest about his recent performances and that's probably stuck in your mind.

As for being a hypocrite. Aren't we all? :)

Nah. I’m fairly consistent. I don’t defend players just because I don’t abuse players just because I base it on their performance.

Unfortunately you’ll abuse the manager and Bruno regardless and defend Rashford regardless.

You're not listening again - I've not said a lot of things on Bruno, especially bad things. Register that for a moment.

I was just trying to be nice, but I 100% give up with you at this point.

The bench, or lack of because of injuries, did for us in the end, but proud of the lads, and I thought EtH got his tactic bang on.

Shout out for Varane, probably his best performance in a United shirt.

Think the game swung in City's favour when VAR asked the Ref to have a look at the Dalot hand-ball late in the first-half, he refused, but from then on he gave City everything, so much for VAR quietly going about their work in the background ....

Yeah, I thought Ten Hag did little wrong yesterday and criticism has been unfair. The tactics were fine.

The first half was absolutely spot on in terms of tactics, absorb pressure and then hit them on the counter attack. In the end their superior quality showed but the defeat wasn’t on Ten Hag for sure. Also if we had shown that little bit more quality in the final third then we could have easily scored again in the first half.

He has a serious lack of options on the bench but he cannot keep the first 11 on the pitch for 90 minutes especially when a couple were carrying knocks.

I'm not sure he got the tactics spot on, but at least he changed from the normal.

As I mentioned we had 26% possession, 2nd worst since Decemebr against City. So we basically went there to defend and hit them on the break. Except our hit them on the break was launch long balls down field.

Mcom didn't know what to do when he got the ball under the pressure from City and I think Eriksen should have been brought on.

We know how I feel, I think the team should be playing better and be more attacking. I got the impression from kick off that the players thought they were going to lose. The manager needs to inspire them, get them playing football they believe in.

But I'm not going to hammer him for this game, it's the previous 26 games + CL that will ultimately cost him his job.

Anything else would have been suicide ..

McTom had a good game.

City are just relentless. United would either clear the ball or try and break and City would come straight back at them. At times it was like there was only one half and all the game had to be played in that half. Eventually that pressure is going to tell and unfortunately for United they were eventually clinical.

We had to go there and defend because if we had played more expansive then we would have been cut to shreds. That Foden one on one showed that that with one pass we can be sliced open.

The tactics were spot on for me but definitely others may have differing opinions which is fine. I just think with a little more quality from Rashford, Garnacho etc we would have scored again in that first half because we cut them open a couple of times.

I'm amazed you all think going to city, defending our box, and kicking long to a forward is excellent tactical knowledege

The 2nd worst possesion stats, so nearly all the other teams in the league have a better go at them that we did.

Whether it's the manager or the players*, something has to change, because Ineos will get it in the ear if their first season in charge follows the same form as this year. *you can't change 25 players in one window.

On the plus side, we did better than most predicted.

How many other teams have gone to City and gone 1-0 up after 8 minutes.

If City are a few goals up they'll probably take the foot off the gas a bit against sides and let them have the ball for periods then look to hit them on the break.

I think that early goal probably skews the possession stats in the game quite a bit.

It was a very extreme defensive tactic but it was the only way we could play in the circumstances the challenge is over the next few seasons to close that gap so we're good enough to go toe to toe with them on our patch and theirs.

There were a lot more chances to be had on the break but we just didn't quite have the final pass or touch to make the most of them.
