Non international players return tomorrow for the first day of pre season training.

Players who’ve been at the euros or the copa America won’t be back yet.

Shaw, Mainoo, Martinez and Pellistri are still on international duty so unlikely to return until the week before the community shield.

I guess the big question is will Greenwood report for pre season tomorrow or will he train away from the club?

Pellistri playing really well by all accounts he needs more time this coming season.

Apologies I forgot Garnacho was at the copa America.

Less games this summer which I think is a good thing no home friendly before the season starts probably because of the community shield.

15th July Rosenborg (Trondheim)
20th July Rangers (Edinburgh)
USA Tour
28th July Arsenal (California)
1st August Real Betis (California)
4th August Liverpool (South Carolina)
Community Shield
10th August Man City (Wembley)

Not sure how many on the international players will go on the tour to America those who made the finals of Copa/Euro's won't go on the tour as their 3 week holiday period starts today so they'll be back into pre season training when the team return from the states.

Could be a good opportunity for some of the younger players to make an impression as Mainoo did last summer.

Good chance for the youngsters to impress. Especially looking forward to seeing how Williams can kick on.

Apparently Rosenberg hit the woodwork 4 times? And had 21 shots in total so there’s a continued theme there.

That said I think Rosenberg are already in to their season? May even be midway through it so they will be much fitter and I think United played the kids?

Yeah, they are mid season and fitter.

So you can't gauge much. That said, I think saying we didn't deserve to lose is not what all the reports say was all I was saying.

First game, not many first 11.

As for Rashford, he did some good work apparently but o-dog has seen contrary

And the manager said it wasn't good enough

Don't read too much into that game Rosenberg 15 games into their season and mostly young United players involved.

Yet in internet land it's same ole United, its gonna be a long season ....
No, it's their first game against a team mid season. Don't think anybody is expecting anything from that game.

But that doesn't mean you just make up match reports.

It's fine to say they were poor. For the reason stated above. Even the coach said so.

Nobody cares about the first pre season game. Its about fitness levels

Sounds like they weren't holding back either heard a few tasty tackles went in from the Rosenborg players.

Reading anything into pre season results is pretty pointless especially in a summer where there's probably only going to be 1 game where ETH can pick his strongest team which will be the community shield in a months time.

Did any of the youngsters stand out?

Heard the keeper played well.

Think Rashford had a few moments, Keeper was excellent. Mount disappointing - that signing is looking a bad one. Casimero pretty poor, but did suffer an awful challenge.

Don't think anybody stood out, but good for the kids to get minutes, Collyer did ok, and was captain.

I can't see Mount playing in centre mid next season he'll surely be used as a wide player or playing instead of Bruno in europa games.

Think Mount deserves a season to prove himself before being written off but it's not looking great.

Yes agreed I’m just going on the evidence so far, if he turns out to be injury free and offers something to the team I’m all for it. Not holding my breath though.

Who is making mach reports up? They didn't deserve to lose and if the ref had blown up a few seconds earlier we wouldn't have

They played as well as coud be expected for a mishmash of a side against seasoned opposition

Wouldn't read too much into what EtH said

The best version of Mount definitely offers something to the squad but that version hasn't been seen for 2 years now so I share your worry that this version of Mount won't ever be seen again due to the injuries.

I think over the years pre-season has shown it is pretty irrelevant when it actually comes to the season starting. We’ve looked brilliant at times in pre-season in the last 6-7 years but come the season we have flattered to deceive.

Don’t think any time should be wasted getting bent out of shape on our pre-season form.

The pinnacle was the preseason tour under Van Gaal where we looked immense then turned out to be awful.

Watching the first-half again, forgot how much they targetted Mejbri, would've expected Caseniro to have done more to protect him, because the Ref sure wasn't
