Good luck.

How much was that Dorgu in the window? Been saving that one for you all.

By the sound of the reports he will bring some much needed running power to the squad.

Hopefully he settles in quickly.

Beat me to it! :p Well played!

45 minutes on the right.

Looked to be a guy willing to be on the front foot but nothing really to remember about his debut.

Decent performance. I was impressed by his passing, he can pick a pass. Hopefully more to come.

Yeah thought he looked decent. Clearly very athletic and got a good engine. He made some very good runs down the left but was ignored a fair few times. I think he’s got a lot of promise.

How refreshing to have someone who can cross from the left. Brings good physicality down the left. Shows promise.

He put a very good early ball into the box first half, no one reacted to it though

Another positive outing. He plays with desire and a willingness to get up and down the pitch. His touch is good and he can pick a pass. Early signs of a promising understanding with Fernandes.

Only saw the first half but he was our best player by a mile.

Really like what I’ve seen so far, gives us some much needed athleticism and physicality on that left side. Him and Bruno were our best players by a country mile today.

You could see Bruno looking for him at every opportunity, and you do wonder whether it is because Dorgu is one of the few players who he trusts with the ball.

I actually think his performance is being well overated today. He drove forward well but I can't remember him once hitting a man with a pass in the final third.

It was a low bar but he was the only player who looked close to a 7/10 performance.

Stuck a couple of crosses in first half which Everton dealt with well.

Oh look it's Ten Hag's number one fan, of course you will play down Ruben's first signing

Am I wrong? Do you remember one good pass he completed in the final third?

I'll also remind you i don't believe the signings are the managers signings so wouldn't be judging Amorim on him.

That would be a judgement on the failures from those above. However I don't believe Dorgu is a bad signing just don't think he had some great game.

Nightmare for him

Mix up with the keeper (looks like he didn’t hear the shout) and then gets a straight red.

3 game ban for that as well

Not seen a replay of the red card incident. Was it the right call?

Yeah.

Studs showing over the ball into the shin. Wasn’t particularly high but it was dangerous.

He got it just slightly wrong went in a bit to high caught the top of the ball which sent him over it, with VAR watching you won’t get away with those.

Yeah red all day long unfortunately. Hate it for the kid but as I put in another thread, hopefully he learns from this.

Shit happens.

What do people make of Dorgu so far?

For me he looks athletic and dynamic and adds a presence on that left hand side. But will obviously need to sharpen up in attacking areas. It is a pretty small sample size so far though.

I think him, Garnacho and Yoro as the left sided players does have potential for sure. We saw that in glimpses against Ipswich before he was sent off.

Ball-carrying seems to be his major strength along with work rate. I've still not seen enough to judge him properly though. He's a welcome addition though just because of trait number one.

I like him he puts the work in going both ways and certainly seems to have the physical side of the game required to play that role.

Makes good runs in attacking areas always looking to attack in behind the opposition to get into dangerous positions for crosses.

Looks pretty decent on the ball and he's looking to play quickly he isn't looking to take extra touches when he doesn't need to if there's a chance to get the ball in first time he takes it which can only help our attacking players.

There's loads of room for improvement and he'll need to watch his discipline which has cost him a 3 game ban already but that will happen with young players.

I'm sure at some point opposition will pin point his weakness and try to catch him out but he'll need to adapt to that when it happens.

He’s a menace.

Always involved and if he can add a bit more end product he could be a hell of a player.

Someone needs to teach him how to shoot properly.

Agree. I've seen a decent amount of him now, and I can say I quite like him.

Shooting needs a lot of work, but it is something you can learn quite easily.

Eriksen goal, Dorgu assist.
