Definitely an upgrade on AWB but the question mark is his injury record - he seems to be a little prone. However, if he does stay fit he would be a good back up to Dalot.

Guess this depends on the sale of AWB to West Ham.

Not seen a great deal of this fella to be honest. Is he capable of playing right back and left back?

Neither have I but from what I read he was used by Bayern at left back on occasion, so he’s definitely got experience of playing there.

Isn’t the issue that he’s always injured 5 different injuries last season.

Bayern have needed a right back for a while and if he was that good and reliable they wouldn’t be shifting him on.

Mazraouri only played 190 minutes less than de Ligt in the Bundesliga and started 8 Champions League games to de Ligt's 6 last season, just saying .....

Aren’t there injury concerns over de Ligt?

There are, but most reds you talk to think we must sign de Ligt if we have a chance, not oncerned or aware of his injury record, and he would be coming in on big bucks expecting to be a starter, whereas Maxraoui wiill know he's coming in as cover for both FB posittions initially on much less wages.

So of the two he is a much safer ganble.

I can’t see how bringing another right sided player will help that disaster of a signing Antony.
He’ll still only have one foot, he still won’t get past the left back and still won’t get to the by line and get a right footed cross in.

Don't recall Beckham flying past too many fullbacks. it was G Nev going past him that enabled Becks to whip his crosses in.

Beckham wasn’t a right winger though…strange logic
And Becks was right footed, which makes it even stranger logic

If it's going to make Antony better how good is it going to make Garnacho?

This one really worries me on paper he's a better option than AWB even though his defending is suspect but we can't deal with our injury crisis by signing another injury prone player.

Antony/Mazraoui will be having a great chat on the bench about how they'd be ripping it up down that right side if they were on the pitch.

He played 99% of his games for United @ RW, think it's fair to say he was a RW

Doesn't matter what footed a player is, its the undestanding with his FB that enables them to get theeir crosses in

Not read that anywhere recently, very original.

Becks was nothing like a traditional winger where they take on a full back and get crosses in, he was a right sided midfield player and never had the pace to get past anyone, him being right footed has everything to do with it because that’s exactly why Antony fails because he can only come inside on his left, it took teams two games to work it out and now he just passes short balls back inside because he literally has no idea what to do.

I'm not a huge Beckhan fan, but come off it. Antony isn't worthy of cleaning his boots.

Nobody could put a cross in like him.

Antony is predictable, slow, and talentless. He can't go past players, he can't cross, his one shot has been sussed, he offers nothing. Which is why we cannot sell him

Most teams play with a leftie on the right, it's the norm, you obviously just don't rate the player

Stevie Coppell could and in stride, and he didn't need somebody to take his direct opponent away

I think he’s shit, that’s going on what I see watching him.
So tell us all where we are going wrong what does Antony bring to the team ?
