There is a post somewhere on here, made by Bob. It's a link to a tweet explaining all the finances etc. It concluded that our spend is not effected.

It's very in depth and seems legit. I just can't find it.

I wouldn't worry about it , honestly. The Mirror or Star was reporting just a month or two ago we have £300-400m to spend.

I thought the idea was we stopped spunking money on money grabbing wastoids who use united as a cash cow, and get hungry young players who want to move us forward. Get them early

Young hungry players cost money. Gone are the days youngsters are cheap. You'll find the odd diamond. If a team wanted Garnacho off us we are telling them £80m at a minimum.

they're out there, I reckon you could a couple of players at 40 - 50 and one at 70 odd

Yoro I think is available for 40m

The ones that go cheap are normally because of release clauses.

A lot of Utd’s FFP/PSR issues drop off for next season as the Covid hit season behind closed doors is no longer considered in the numbers. So from 1st July Utd should have room to spend big if they want to without being in trouble with the league. The other side of it which is cash to spend is anyone’s guess. The money SJR put in as part of his investment was meant to be set aside for long term projects rather than transfers.

From memory the last set of business accounts suggested Utd’s cash reserves had dwindled significantly in the last few years.

I suspect to really go big Utd need a few big sales to happen there are quite a few players I’m sure the club would love to sell.

Utd under the new ownership need to set a new tone in deals they have to be willing to stick to their price and walk away they can’t panic and pay over the odds. They have to break that reputation this summer.

I wish he'd ruled himself out of management forever just to be safe.

Cannot ever have him manage us, it will be a guaranteed period of hell.

Would he make a worse job of it than ETH. probably not.

But don't want him at the club so this is a relief.

Marco Rose is an interesting one that could be worth pursuing if ETH leaves. Always done well wherever he’s gone and is doing well with Leipzig this season.

Quite a few rumours in France about ZZ being targeted by Ratcliffe and Blanc

Don't buy a word of it, if there was any hope we would hear more about him being open to managing in England and learning the language

Zidane would be mad to take this job, feels like he’s just waiting for the France job

I’d be fine with the next manager being Spanish, they produce some great coaches and players.

I’d take one from North Korea if he was good enough

Yeah unsure why the nationality matters.
It doesn’t matter unless you’ve come on looking for an argument as usual
The Spanish national team have been right up there for decades, Spain have produced some of the best managers in recent times and it’s the same with the players they are doing something right. So United getting a Spanish coach sounds like a good idea. If you want to turn it into an argument go ahead or maybe just grow up.

I think the only Spanish managers I would take here would be Luis Enrique and Emery - couldn’t name any others I would want. Pep and Xabi Alonso can do one because of their links to our rivals.

I’d happily take Alonso he’s clearly a top young coach.

Italy is where they’re really churning out the top coaches
