Next manager

It was a good game last night, but we were at home to Newcastle, lets not get carried away, the stas were pretty even.

i really enjoyed the performance, probably because of the 36 games before.

It's been a poor season, and he needs to go

Some articles knocking about that players, including Kane, have asked for him to stay

I'm not surprised he's a good manager and clubs are finding this summer there's not a lot of options on the market.

Barca back tracked and kept Xavi, looks like Bayern will do the same.

As for us none of the people being linked have a better CV than ETH the only one who to me made some sense was Tuchel.

We should only replace him if there's a man who's obviously better for the job, at some point we have to give someone the benefit of the doubt in a bad season. If he's on the same page as the new bosses over how they want the team to play and he thinks he can deliver what they want then why not give him another chance.

Try deleting x in the url and replacing it with twitter.com

Otherwise the only person that will be able to view your post is you.

I know it's a parp mind.

Mmmm, just realised if you click on 'loading tweet' it takes you directly to it, obviously that only works if you have a 'X' account.

I have no problem seeing his posts.

I have a bad feeling about Jim Ratcliffe and his takeover now. Not that about sacking ETH but a gut feeling of they are going to mess it up like before. It looks like the appointment of the England Rugby coach as manager or DOF of some football club before. Was it Southampton?

I having a feeling he will get it wrong. I don't see how dragging certain office staff will assist the team other than cause low morale amongst thise staff.

I think they are right to do a review.

We're all high on yesterday's performance but it cannot paper over season

I will support ETH if he stays, but we cannot get off to the same start as last season. He needs to improve.

We must start moving forward at some point

I think they've already made there mind up if there going to do a review they need to take in to account Reguilon left halfway through a season where we had no fit left backs , Countless CB partnerships a young Striker that played too many games than he should be at this Level because no other option players like Amrabat on loan like last season was sabitzer and Weghorst a new goalkeeper who actually passes which our CBs aren't use to here.
That being said there are plenty of bad points too like the stubbornness with Sancho and signings like Mount and Anthony not to mention those bad shots against and goals conceded stats.
Whatever choice is made we will get behind our club at the end of the day all we want is to get back to competing no matter if our opinions are different we want the same end goal.

I'm in two minds

he won a trophy, but it has been a really poor season regardless of injuries.

I just can't name anybody want to come instead.

If he does stay, he cannot have a slow start again, he needs to show something immediately

I don't like the managers out there Tuchel is a good manager but is a short fix,Poch maybe would be my choice but the first half of the season with Chelsea was terrible and we can't afford to have a season like that here.
Managers like Mkenna , Frank , De Zerbi are all a gamble again.
With Pep probably leaving next summer would love to see ETH in good stead going in to that season as a manager reset could take time.
Just my opinion ofcourse no rite or wrong answer.

Just sounds like Utd are talking to whoever is on the market as they probably should before they make the final call on him staying or going.

Really the review needs to cover everything from this time last year to now.

Last summer was a disaster we didn’t get enough of the deadwood players out, we didn’t fix enough of the problems, all of the signings took months to settle in, pre season was a mess.

The season on the whole was really poor the injuries were a huge factor in that but our inability to cope with those setbacks and just grind out some results is alarming.

The cup run was much needed it kept the season alive to the end for the fans and maybe the manager and it means we all end the season on a high.

So that bring you to the possible replacements and to be honest none of them excite me so I’d probably stick but make sure I’ve got my plan B ready because from day one next season we need to see a proper team emerging. A system that’s well drilled that controls games against the majority of opponents and can make us competitive against the better sides.

Be odd to go for a manager who finished below us, and who we just beat with Casemiro at CB.

I imagine as part of their process they will talk to managers to gauge them. Because if they keep ETH and he doesn't start well, he'll be out the door.

I think we'll keep him. And after slagging him for ages, I'm erring towards that.

I think that’s the biggest danger you have in this situation… If they aren’t sold on Ten Hag then they need to sack him. There may not be a better option out there right now but there’s no way a manager can go in to a season with a cloud over their head that a slow start leads to their dismissal. It’s a waste of preseason and a waste of time for everyone. But it’s such a tricky situation all around.

Never thought I would hear those words from you! :p I had assumed you had already planned the ETH leaving party!

haha

cant be as bad last season... can it!

If he stays I'll have a reset.

What he said after the match was telling. He said IF ALL the Players buy into it then we are very good. I could see that everyone was playing to the game plan. No spaces were left and everyone ran with their man. I know Mainoo got MOTM but to me it was the defensive work of Varane, Licha and Amrabat that made the difference. Sure everyone played well but if these players did not that well we probably would have lost.

Calm down, and wait for the announcement.

Leave google alone, he's helped me loads.
