Next manager

Should have done it months ago, then we might have CL

Why has it taken so long for everyone to see, it's been awful all season

Neither Southgate or Tuchel are appealing, I would prefer McKenna if Ten Hag is sacked, but it’s probably too soon for him at this stage.

I would rather Zidane than Southgate

Tuchel I understand, he's got the right aura, but I think he would be short term while building the squad.

I would love to see Ole given another go, with the right backing.

I guess Tuchel is the stand out candidate.

But I am a huge Zidane fanboy, and although I don't really rate his management, I would love to see him on the sideline.

Southgate would be an absolute disaster, he's probably got the best international squad, and we still struggle.

Maybe because we were awful under Rangnick and we were awful under Ole for a long while, so the suspicion is it's not just the manager.

I approached this season with a ton of optimism, given how well ETH had done with this shower. The fact that the wheels haven't fallen off, but rather unbolted themselves and done a runner out of shame, is a real kick in the nuts.

ETH probably does need to go. So too do pretty much all of this squad. You shouldn't survive if you've failed multiple managers.

The next man has an awful lot to deal with and must have real character to deal with a totally dysfunctional dressing room not to mention a team re build, god help us.

Zidane would attract players who might not necessarily come otherwise.

Tuchel doesn't seem like the type to take on a long term project. I don't rate Southgate and selecting the best eleven from every player available is a different thing entirely to building your own squad. Ole, legend that he is, has shown he hasn't got what it takes to compete at the very top.

I don't things under Ole were that bad. Ragnick isn't a manager, what do you expect.

Rangnick was a strange one he was brought in to tell the club how bad things were because the board were incapable of doing it themselves, going public and telling the media that we needed open heart surgery was great though I liked him for that.

Southgate would be a massive mistake nothing personal against him but he's been out of club football for a decade and the fans would not get straight behind him. I can see the idea of why they'd like him can he change the culture around Utd like he has done with England but a huge part of that culture change is they can be very selective about who comes into the setup. In club football if you've got a few bad eggs in the group you can't just stop selecting them for squads.

As for what is out there Tuchel is the only option I see if he was willing to work within the constraints of the new setup they'd be foolish not to take him.

He was doing well at Chelsea until the collapse of the Abrahmovic era that totally knackered the club and the whole takeover didn't exactly go smoothly.

Southgate is only being linked because of Ashworth I think/hope.

I did read over here Zidane might be interested, he has ruled out Munich, but not united

Can't see Zidane going for the Utd job just doesn't seem to fit, he's going to want a lot of power and control and top players which Utd just aren't going to be able to offer him. I reckon he's waiting for either PSG or the French national team job.

It really is slim pickings this summer.

Glad someone is switched on, anyway I might go with ten slags soon I like to be different o_O
Where’s our mate Arfur Cider?

The Führer is very quiet isn't he?

No doubt his job is very hard, educating all the people he does.

I'm sure he'll get round to us.

Think he`s a night shift security guard on a building site looking at the posting times..

More like a shit security guard, at 61, he'll catch nobody ;p

o_O Maybe a grave digger then?

He's probably recently started work on his own!

Awww sweet innit, my very own fanclub, only one member but it's a start ....

Let me know if you need any help with the recruitment drive

Think we'll stick with EtH, and rightly so, but have Southgate who I expect to leave the England job after the Euros, or whatever the hell tournament it is this Summer, ready to step in next Christmas if things dont improve at the start of next season for EtH/United

Was 100% against the idea when it was first muted, but it's growing on me, never be oh we must get him, but ....

Looks like someone’s found 50p down the settee and put it in the meter… :D

This site needs a lot more emojis it’s very limited :):(:confused::cool::p:D

Think you can right click and select emoji on the drop down box, and select different ones. I just don't know if they work. They look pretty shit though.

Bookies seem to believe he's in with a shout for us. 6/1 being 3rd favourite after Southgate 5/2, and Tuchel 7/4.

You can get Steven Gerrard at 66/1. Rofl. They'll let you bet on anything.

Ruud van Nistelrooy, at 33/1..... really?

Rangnick was a strange one on the basis they didn’t want to listen to him. He made sense if they were going to take his advice but it was the Glazers so that was never likely as that would have required them to spend money.

Yes it backfired on them quite spectacularly

In hindsight they should have asked him at the interview stage if things don't go as you hope will you hold your hands up and take the responsibilty for it yourself, or go crying to the press about the club structure, the players, the length of the grass and the way the tea lady looked at you every morning.

Blimey, everbody is being linked now.

Hopefully he'll get some training in how to chew gum and not look like a rabid animal

They just go round in circles.

In a few days it'll be Potter again then Southgate then Tuchel then Frank.

I don't think any of the journalists have got a clue what is going on at the moment.

He's done a great job with Brentford but I can't stand him.

Yeah really don’t like Frank, so would be a real no from me on that one.

Every manager we have been linked to so far is meh indeed. Might as well just stick with ETH.

He's got a real chip on his shoulder about the richer clubs and them being "little old Brentford"

Obviously forgets how they spent quite a bit of money to get up into the Prem in the first place, it wasn't all a fairy tail story.

I actually think they may stick with Ten Hag. They probably shouldn’t but I think they might.

I think Ineos want to show they can be more patient and they know there’s a lot of work to do to rebuild United on all fronts.

Now I’m not saying Ten Hag can’t be a part of that rebuild. I think he’s a very good manager despite his struggles this year. But I think it’s a mistake to stick with him purely because if next year starts badly they’ll sack him. And at that point you’ve lost a preseason with a new manager.
