Thought he did ok.

One of the few outfield players who wasn’t a complete shambles.
 
Hasn't impressed me either to be honest. Seems quite sluggish on the whole.
 
Harsh to say the first is on him, it's just a great bit of skill and finish.

I'm not sure on him, but back from injury, I hope he'll regain the form from a while ago which was positive
 
He’s been mostly fine this season and was yesterday until Liverpool’s first goal.

I wonder if he will become the middle centre back of and when Maguire leaves United. De Ligt isn’t a right sided centre back.
 
I think he's another Maguire level centre back he's not an amazing player but he's good enough to have in your squad.

The handball one annoyed me more than the first one to be honest. He should know he can't have his hands up like that in the box and you could see on his face straight away that he knew he was in trouble.

I personally don't think those should be penalties but they're the rules now so the players have to adapt to it.
 
The penalty doesn't annoy me. He's got extremely unlucky.

But on the first just show him down the line. Don't need to be committing yourself like that.
 
I still thank it's harsh to blame him. It's not even his man he's running full pelt to cover.

But, fundamentally you need to give credit to Gapko, great skill and finish.
 
The way Ugarte reacted made me think he knew that he was meant to be there to cover that.

Sometimes you have to dive in and go for the block as he couldn't just let him roll it across the goal.

Was very good by Gakpo.
 
Got caught out cold early on slow reactions Iv seen it a few times start of both halves but he improves as it goes on, decent game overall.

Wow, he deserves more than this. He started 6-8yards behind Trossard but still manages the goal line clearance. Echo the comments above.

Can't fault the guy yesterday, must be said. If it wasn't for it going to pens and Bayindir again in hero mode then he probably marginally gets the MOTM.

Read what I wrote his clearance wasn’t at the start of a half, I’ll say it again he sometimes starts a game or early second half not fully focussed, once he gets going he improves.

The whole defence looked more solid and focused with Bayinder behind them, it's hard to concentrate on your game, when you have clown behind who you know will throw you under the bus at the drop of a hat.
 
Top class again tonight.

We were getting pulled apart at times but he headed plenty away, made big blocks and tackles to keep us in that game.
 
There was a tackle he made late in the game (think it was actually still 1-1 at the time) on Sulemana that really got the fans going. It was a really physical and fair tackle against a player who was running you guys ragged.

Yep absolutely nailed him with a fair tackle.
 
You can see he loves defending. Has the odd daft moment but most defenders do to be fair.

He’s been very good in the last few games. He would definitely be a strong pick for captain if Bruno did ever leave - he’s a good example to others for sure.
 
Needs to keep his arms down in the box to stop getting in trouble with those nasty VARs
 
His best game for United and should have been named man of the match. He was aggressive and defended on the front foot and pinged several passes to the opposite flank. Top performance, especially considering he was playing with an injury.
 
I think he’s been our best player along with Bruno this year. Had the odd hairy moment but so do most defenders in this league. I think he’s been a very good signing so far and we’ve needed someone of his ilk at the back for a while.
