Is there any chance we can leave the match threads open for an hour after the game?

We would like more more activity in the Manchester United forum, where non-registered members/guests tend to visit after a game, according to the data collected by @Stretford End Arising. The aim/hope is to attract new members if the Manchester United forum is seen to be more active.

Why not keep the match day thread open in the 'Manchester United' forum then? The thread is already started, we all like to talk about matches, why does it need to close at all?

Just start a post match thread in the Utd forum if you want to carry it on after the match thread closes.

Because if the thread is left open then the discussions are going to be just primarily in that thread. This would saturate every conversation into one thread. Where as we want to encourage discussions in other threads. It’s fair enough to keep threads open in a bigger forum but as we are fairly small we need to encourage new members and that can be done by having lots of discussions in different threads.
