I think by this point you can clearly see why Chelsea were willing to sell. There is more going on with him than meets the eye.
Also, he's just not good enough.
Chelsea did not want to sell him he wanted a better contract than they were offering.
They’d just signed Sterling on 375k a week and Mount was apparently being offered 150k a week. He felt he was worth more than that especially as he was an established first team player that came through the academy.
With only 1 year left Chelsea were basically forced to sell.
He was an odd signing for Utd he was the Eriksen replacement but was a totally different player. He’s another Van De Beek and we will end up taking a big hit on him financially in a few years.
Very hard to see him coming good and sorting these injuries out after this long.
It's the same difference.
Chelsea didn't feel they wanted to pay him enough to stay. That's very telling.
I think they just wanted rid of a player that never really reached his potential.Think part of his sale was also driven by their need to balance the books as they massively over spent in the first summer.
Chelsea probably got a much better deal than they probably expected.
I think they just wanted rid of a player that never really reached his potential.
They played their cards perfectly, acting as if he's in there future plans. The reality is we were reeled in and took to the cleaners. There is probably about two people in the whole world that think Mount is a UTD player.
He’s in the squad list on the United website so he’s definitely a United player. And that can be accessed by millions!I think they just wanted rid of a player that never really reached his potential.
