Easily the best goalkeeper in women's football

Will united lose another quality player or manage to sort it.

Going into her last year

It would be very embarrassing for the club to lose another star name.

Yup, Russo gone, let a world cup winner go, probably the best LB in womens football. Although I understand that, she probably wanted to go back to Spain. I think they said 8 barca players were on that pitch, not sure if that both was sides (England have 2 I think) or just the Spanish side.

I'm surprised we haven't moved for Daly to replace Russo.

But Earps, not only the best keeper, a real asset for PR.

I think that was in total.

They've just signed a Brazilian striker from Barcelona to replace Russo.

Yeah the 8 players was a combination of both sides but there's a huge line of talent coming through Spain now they've dominated the youth tournaments and now won the world cup.

Yeah Earps would be a massive loss but unless Utd start competing consistently for titles they're going to struggle to keep hold of her.

To be honest, her record doesn't really hold much hope, going a bit Hojlund here :p surely we could get Daly

That's the odd thing, title went down to last day, yet we lost two of our best players

Sounds like she was mainly a sub at Barcelona.

Will be interesting to see if they can remain competitive next season in terms of the title.

I assume she'll get the goalkeeper award but guessing the overall award will be going to one of the Spain players.

Guess the centre mid who absolutely ran the show in the final.

Wants to leave apparently, If true like Russo before her she can sod off, She was a nobody playing in Germany and only 3/4th choice for England when she came to the club ffs. What is it with the girls doing it back to front, the ultimate should be United, not use the club as a stepping-stone to bigger and better.

Yeah our rich history in the women's game.

The fact the club has been so slow to upgrade the facilities at Carrington is probably a factor.

If you've seen that story doing the rounds in the daily mail today about the special guest at one of their games not surprising they're leaving.

What's that got to do with the price of snuff, we are the biggest football club in the world ffs.

It's well documented why that is the case, and shouldn't be an issue anyway, i'd get changed in a skip to represent Manchester United.

Oh yeah we love a story don't we, and in the Daily Mail, do me a favour ....

Mackenzie Arnold(West Ham) and Phallon Tullis-Joyce(OL Reign) been looked at as possible replacement for Wyatt's daughter.

When it comes to the mens game when it comes to the womens game we are nowhere near it. You have to separate the two we've only existed for 5 years we have no history and unless these girls think they can win leagues and champions leagues here they are going to keep leaving.

Same way in the mens game players used to force moves away from clubs like Spurs to join us.

You look at it as a fan rather than a professional this is their job.

Haven't seen a denial from it and the facts of that story are their for all to see.

I imagine it's about money. She's probably got one contract left.

I haven't seen anything about her leaving, but it's odd we have let another get down to the last year.

You know where I'm saying the fault is!

*

I thought the club did comment, and say he wouldn't be allowed near the club again

No you don't, Russo(boo hiss)said she had always wanted to sign for United and that was only a year after the team had been set up/reformed, and if Russo(boo hiss)had pulled her finger out in the last 3rd of last season United would have won the League, as it was the girls still finished above Arsenal yet Russo(boo hiss)went there not for the trophies but the money. And she owed United after they stood by her(and obviously paid her)when she was out for nearly a year injured.

I think Arsenal are the better team, they were riddled with injuries last season.
A lot of players don't seem to hang around for some reason

Boringly predictable @Mr C, save @jsp having to post it I guess ;)

One money grabber, and one going back to Spain after her partner moved back there. The yanks were only ever on short-term contracts.

Vivianne Miedema, Leah Williamson, Beth Mead

I mean they had loads of injuries, but these are a big miss. Even someone with huge red goggles like yours must admit that.

Oh my heart bleeds.

Shame those that can't enjoy any success United have without feeling the need to make excuses for rival teams conveniently overlook injuries when United are decimated when they are destroying the team they say they support online. That's just different level weird.

Wtf.

Who's making excuses. I'm a big fan of the women's team, prefer watching them to be honest.
But Arsenal are a better team, which might be why Russo went there. They only just missed out with 3 world class players out.

Think their manager is pretty good. But they've been around much longer, and really look after their women's team. So no wonder they are ahead at the moment. If we finish above them we've had a cracking season.

Let's hope the Chelsea mess filters into the women's team

Could be the facilities why the leave. Certainly the women's team would benefit massively from a takeover.

Well of the two of us ....

Thought it would be the Glazers fault

I think everyone would benefit from the takeover being done... apart from Richard Arnold and his mates as they'll need a new job!

still no news on this, which is a disappointment, following the Russo case

Think with the way the money is going in the game players will run down contracts because every year the budgets are getting bigger as the interest grows.

Hardly surprising that a player who won the world cup and European cup won it.

I don’t watch a lot of women’s football but she was by a mile the best player I’ve seen absolutely ran the show in that final no one could get near her.

Guessing that not playing in the champions league doesn’t help Earps in these sort of votes.

Earp's has been the best in her position last two major tournaments. Also world's best in her position

I can see why bonmati got it, not that I would have chosen her. But the other 3 above Earp's, no chance. Kerr was out injured for ages

Think in world cup years that tournament massively skews the voting and goalkeepers very rarely win these awards. In the men's game think it's only happened two or three times.

Not winning anything for club or country will make it hard to win any individual award.

But she was a key player in helping Chelsea win the double.

I think football would be a much better place if they sacked off all the individual awards it's a team sport and it's team results that matter.

Yeah don’t really care about individual awards, I’ve never watched a Ballon d’or ceremony or a sports personality of the year and never plan to.

Going off topic but I can't stand the way the game has moved more towards individuals and less focused on teams. I think the Messi vs Ronaldo era has changed the way a whole generation thinks about the game.

Bonmati said said she was only there because of her teammates around her
