He was OK. He did what he needed to do so I can't fault him for that. He played that role well BUT... Today we needed more than what he offers. We needed someone who can get forwards and offer more on the ball.

Didn't enjoy his first half performance one bit but much improved second half.

Thought second half for all his defensive strengths he didn't offer much when we really needed it. I appreciate that is the role he's playing but it needed more of a player in there I think.

Looks like he's going to be out for some time though which is a blow for him.

Premier League: Liverpool 0-0 Manchester United - 17th October 2016

Played well. He was very good in the first half.

He was winning the ball high up the field. He did his job of being a destroyer/disruptor pretty well.

Premier League: Everton 1-1 Manchester United - 4th December 2016

What can you say...

He was shit. He did the exact opposite of what he was sent to do. Bad day and a bad game for him.

We needed some game management in the 2nd half. We would have been better bringing mata on to keep the ball.

Awful awful player. Made worse by his horrific cameo. We do love a good 1-1!

Tbh I actually blame Jose more for this. We were managing the game badly before fellaini came on but that is not going to improve it. Even if he isn't as bad as people say refs are looking out for him. Not worth the trouble. They need to get rid.

I know why Jose put him on, well some kind of reasoning anyway. His aerial presence obviously, but it was a bad call in hindsight. He is not a calming influence whatsoever. Even Blind may have been a better option.

I thought both substitutions were poor. When they were pushing for an equaliser we should have been passing the ball with speed and frustrating them. For anyone who watched Chelsea yesterday that 2nd half was perfect counter attacking football.

He is awful, we should have brought on Mata to help control the midfield and maybe hit them on the break. Fellaini is not up to United standards and we need to get rid as soon as!

Quite why you bring on this clown is beyond me! I mean he's given away penalties already this year and he's an accident waiting to happen. People can defend him all they want but he's not anywhere near good enough. And to bring him on to close out a game is just laughable.

Last 2 games he's come on now and my head has dropped both times as i've seen him about to come on. Very nearly cost us against West Ham, he got a yellow against them and I wish the ref had just sent him off because he'd have got a 3 game ban then.

It's got to the point where i'd actually pay into a fund to sell him. Never disliked a United player until now, have found it very difficult to like him from day 1, i've tried to like him and at times he has pleased but just not my cup of tea, possesses none of the attributes I want to see in a United player. Just a clumsy oaf who can be a nuisance for the opposition in both penalty areas and today he was a nuisance to his own team.

We can blame felliaini all day but I'm afraid the buck has got to stop with the boss. Every Man Utd fan on planet earth knows he's a liability, same has to be said of Rojo too. As above I was checking on twitter when I saw he had come on. My head dropped. Just like at times last season I'm wondering why certain players are playing and the substitutions are leaving me baffled.

We can blame Fellaini because he was to blame on the field. It was his foul that gave away the penalty and as I type this I'm having a feeling of Deja Vu! I do agree Jose has to take some of the blame and to come out and say the penalty decision was just a nonsense is insulting to us as fans. Not only is that just not true but does he think we are stupid? And obviously he can't accept that on the day he once again got it wrong.

IS José frightened to be his own man. Did he ever have this many issues with the team at Chelski ?

No he didn't and I can't help but feel that the way it all ended for him at Chelsea has made him doubt himself? Like he's second guessing things or that he can't be as ruthless because he'll lose some of the players like he appeared to at Chelsea?

League Cup: Manchester United 2-0 Hull City - 10th January 2017

Well done Fellaini. He doesn't half get a raw deal from fans. He's been absolutely fine in fulfilling his role as a squad player this season.

I'm sorry but taking out the option to extend him?! Jesus really!!! So another year of having to watch him? Wow!

Premier League: Manchester United 1-1 Liverpool - 15th January 2017

Did well when he came on.

Excellent cameo. Scrapped. Won in the air, won on the deck, won second balls too which is something I felt we were lacking throughout. He's very good in the role he played today.

Europa League: FC Rostov 1-1 Manchester United - 9th March 2017

One of his better performances.

Best player on the pitch, pitch conditions seemed to make him a better player!

Europa League: Manchester United 1-0 FC Rostov - 16th March 2017

Fellaini with the skills!

Can't believe what i've just witnessed, great performance from him!

Europa League: Anderlecht 1-1 Manchester United - 13th April 2017

This guy is a cancer that spreads through the team whenever he plays everyone around him is worse he's a needless handicap

I'm so sick of the site of him in a Utd shirt

How has he not followed his man into the box that's literally your job

This guy is a cancer that spreads through the team whenever he plays everyone around him is worse he's a needless handicap

Come on, his performance can be described without using the word cancer.

The bottom line is it was a bad substitution and something we have done consistently. Games we have had all the possession and chances we haven't been able to kill off. Then Jose gets twitchy and wants to kill the game defensively but all it does is bring a negative attitude to the game. I don't particularly think Fellini is good enough, neither do I particularly think it's his fault.

Define cancer
  • an evil or destructive practice or phenomenon that is hard to contain or eradicate.
Not saying I wish cancer or any pain on anyone but this guy has got to go I wasn't sure on the rules around swearing on here so used another phrase
